Mom's Fundraising Idea
Mom's Relay For Life team is busy thinking of ways to raise money for cancer research. She came up with a great idea but everyone just laughed at it. She wants to take me with her to the track and give people a chance to pat, hug, and kiss me. All that for only $5! Or for $8 they can come back as many times as they want during the night for more sloppy Westie kisses. Well, we still think it's a good idea even if no one else does. Mom is going to enter the hula hoop contest! When she was a little girl she earned her very first dollar demonstrating hula hoops at a local store. I wonder if she still knows how to work those things? Mom and I want to encourage everyone to join a team and do your part when Relay For Life is held in your town. Lets give cancer a good, swift kick in the butt!

Selling kisses seems like a good idea to me. If your kisses are anything like mine, you may have to offer a towel, too.

We think your idea is a great one ---- Katy and I would spend the $8.00 to get some westie kissies from Chester!
Cancer is a horrible disease -- my dad passed away almost 10 years ago from it, and one of my former students (only in 4th grade) passed away last November --- she was going thru her 2nd bone marrow transplant and passed due to complications...you can see her story at the link I've posted below. She has an amazing family that is working hard to kick cancer in the butt!

I have a former young student has battled bone cancer for the past 2 years. Alexis is a 2nd grader and was one of my kindergartners in my first year of teaching. She too is incredible as well as her family. It breaks my heart to see young people and their families suffer so much. Your McKenna was a brave young girl and to battle cancer most of her life is so tragic.

We cannot imagine anyone would laugh about such a great gift of kisses by sweet little Chester! Shame on them. So many are missing out on a real prize because they won't let Chester help earn some much needed money--the people getting the kisses and the people that would benefit from the money.

We think that those people just have never had a kiss from a sweet little guy like Chester.......That amount would be priceless. Proud that Chester was willing to help with such a worthwhile cause!

Paying to have a kiss from Chester is not a silly idea. I would pay money to have a kiss from Chester. I think its a great idea.
As far as the hula hoop contest I suggest you get a hula hoop and practice first.
I was trying to show my grandaughter one day and found out that I am old and stiff. I did get it going a couple of times though but not like I used to be able to do. Linda

Chester Boy we things that are a weely goodr ideea and yu shuld do it. Wowzee to hav all that tention and kissees wuld be weely awsum. My momma mommy and daddy them bof died frum that bad cancr and hur knows 2 kids wif cancr. So Chester Boy yu just giv them kissees.

It is so sad that a cure hasn't been found. I know that almost everyone has been touched by cancer in some way.
I think kisses is a great idea - i know that when i get them from morgan and alex - i consider them priceless!

You should do it Charleen. I'll start it off with $8.00 donation for virtual kisses from Chester in memory of my parents. My dad's birthday is tomorrow on Mother's Day. A difficult time for me. I remember a few years ago when once again his birthday was on Mother's Day and my mom saying she didn't even get to have Mother's Day to herself; she had to share it with our dad. We laughed at her comment. I wish they were both here. So, I am sending Chester his money.
