Prayers Please
Would everyone please say a prayer for our friends? They lost their cairn terrier Dusty today. She was a little blond girl they had rescued from a breeder. She was spayed on Monday and became very ill yesterday and they rushed her to the vet this morning, but she didn't make it. They think she had a congenital kidney problem that caused her kidneys to shut down when she was given anesthesia for the surgery. Obviously they're hearbroken. The have another cairn, a brindle named Maggie Mae, that will help them get through this. We appreciate the thoughts and prayers as we know how special everyone here is. Thank you.

We are sending prayers to your friends. That brings back memories of losing my little Rylee in 2006 during surgery. We lit a candle for little Dusty.

Terribly sad. I wonder if they did the pre-anaethestic blood test beforehand. They usually don't do them here on dogs under 5, but Kelsi has had it since the first time she had her teeth cleaned at 3. Not that it would help them now. Good to hear they have another pup to keep them distracted.

oh what sad news. I am sure the family is heartbroken. I lost Austin post-op too and it is so sad.
prayers for the family and safe trip to the bridge sweet one. Robbie and Austin will be there with open paws.

How absolutely awful, you never expect a routine operation to end in the loss of your beloved pet, we are so sorry for your friends and are thinking of them at this sad time.
