Into the Games Vote for this post

So with Grady he is so active and gets bored very quickly.Like most puppies they can dart from room to room getting into mischief very quickly. I came across an online site that had some fun puzzle ideas. So ordered them.We have been trying them out this week.
The Happy Hunting bowl is GREAT! Grady used to gobble his food down so fast that he would walk away burping, hiccups and sometimes bringing up his food. So this bowl slows down how he eats. The whole time he has his meal now he is wagging his tail, circling his bowl while eating , really enjoying his meal and digesting it better at a slower pace.
The second item is a puzzle game that has compartments you put in kibble, treats or snacks. He had so much fun getting them uncovered and out.I have to watch him using it as I'm sure he could dismantle it if I left the room.
Both have been fun for Grady and two thumbs up for a fun activity and solving boredom and fast eating issues.
Has anyone tried similar items?
Grady is healing nicely after his surgery. Yesterday was the last day he didn't have to wear the cone of shame. He hated it...poor thing. We are back to full walks.
Hugs Sandra & Grady

That's a brilliant food bowl ... we need one of those for Emmy since she hoovers up her kibbles like a little vacuum!

One of her favorite toys is an interactive treat ball that dispenses kibbles one at time. She rolls that thing around the room frantically to get EVERY kibble out - it's so much fun to watch her work with it.

She has even learned to pick the ball up and carry it over to us when there is one final stubborn kibble that won't come out because she knows we will extract it for her

I really like the sound of that interactive ball and would love to see a picture or video of Emmy in hyper drive rolling out her treats.
Sounds like she has a lot of fun!

Here's a short clip of Emmy with her Kibble Ball. She usually moves so fast I can't get a good video, but this was after she emptied most of the kibbles and was trying to get the last few - notice how she picks it up and brings it to us...

That was fun to watch, thanks for posting! Emmy had her tail wagging the whole time. I can tell she really enjoys it. Like her trick of throwing it off the bed.Surprising she could pick that up and carry it.
Heres Grady with the happy hunting bowl. He'll circle and dance around the bowl the whole meal picking out every kibble.Funny that sometimes his tongue will flip a kibble across the floor and he'll do a mad dash to get it then run back to the bowl to continue.

Sandra and Mark,I have 2 of the slow feeder bowls here,Andrew used to just gobble his food so fast he always had one and then Biba was even worse at just 2 mouthfuls her food was gone,!..I cannot really give the food balls as I fear one would try to get the others and  perhaps a fight my develop...The treat puzzle bowl looks fun for Grady and so pleased he is healing and he has now lost the cone, his colourings are super in his coat...Biba is wild and I have to educate her on the lead more..she darts all over the place and tries to trip you up,we are taking them both up to the mountain moorland walks early on Saturday morning as heat expected here and Andrew loves the soft squidgygrass up there and little streams and shallow pools...will get pictures of Bibas reaction also but so far she goes through puddles and is wild when I use the hosepipe for garden watering....Hugs and kisses Annie and Gang xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I used a similar bowl for Kelsi as she would gobble down her food and then whine for ages afterward. I did have to watch her though as she would sometimes try to tip the bowl upside down. The bowl did slow her down a little.

I've never tried the puzzle games with treats, might work better with just 1 dog but when it comes to two I prefer to give the girls treats in their bowls otherwise Izzy tries to swallow without chewing if Matilda is close by.

Good to hear he is doing so well.
