Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Our wonderful Minnie flew home to Rainbow Bridge to be greeted by her brothers Chester and McGregor. The vet found a tumor by the speen and kidney yesterday. We decided on surgery today to find out just what was going on. There wasn't any way they could take the tumor out and the vet said that Minnie could have a lot of pain dealing with kidney cancer :((( So we made the decision that she should go while she was still in surgery so that she didn't have to deal with anything else. Enough of that. Her last days were good and we want to remember her, wagging her tail, barking at the UPS guy (her favorite past time), and all the other funny things she did to make us laugh. She graced our lives with so much and we are forever grateful we had the chance to share the years after we got her out of the puppymill. She wanted for nothing. And she gave everything. So fly free, my lovely little Minnie! We will be coming for you and your brothers when our time arrives for us to go from here. Thank you to my terrier friends--I may not post a lot, but I come here on a regular basis. You have been a wonderful group of loving furparents and I have learned a lot over the years.
Hugs to you and your wonderful pups!

Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Thanks so much! I know we here have all experienced this letting go and it's no less painful for any of us. I always wondered how it would go for her, what we would do, etc. This was the best way for her--no pain and in control. I wanted her to go out her way. Not ours. The house is quiet--I hate that :(((
Hugs to you and yours!

Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Thank you Annie for those thoughts! I am hoping for some sign to show me she's okay. I know she will. We have been here since Chester which was in 2000. So many of us have lost so much since then I find solace when I come here along with great adventures from all of you. It lifts me up I hope Minnie is running wild with all of the pups that have been here.

Eileen, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the passing of your Minnie. Love gives us the courage to set them free when we know they'll only suffer if they stay with us.Faith eventually will bring us all together again. We are here for you whenever you feel like reaching out to us, many of us have suffered the loss of a beloved furbaby. I'm sure our TC Angels greeted her at RB along with Chester and McGregor. Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Thank you Deb! This place is a haven for me. I feel at home here. And in sync with so many of you that have lost the ones you loved so much. Which is why I've been around for so long. I've met in person, people that have posted here and are still friends to this day, all these years later. Your kind words mean so much! It's storming out now and the Weather Radio just went off--the one thing Minnie would go ballistic over whenever the tones started. Made her mad-- Hugs to you and yours!

Eileen, I'm so sorry to hear your beautiful Minnie has went to Rainbow Bridge. It's so very hard to make the decision to let go. My heart breaks for your loss. Treasure all those wonderful memories, laughter and love she gave you. I often wonder if there is a mailman or UPS truck driving around rainbow bridge for our frisky terriers to chase.I sure hope so.They would delight in it I'm sure.
Sending my deepest condolences. I will light a candle tonight for your beloved Minnie. Hugs Sandra & Grady My Angels Maddie Mr.Willie Emily at the RB

Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Thank you for lighting the candle! Such a thoughtful gesture. The quiet here is deafening. I still feel her everywhere. I haven't emptied her water dishes. Her pet beds are laying all over. They aren't in the way and they will stay where they are for a long while. Hug that cute little Grady for me :)))

Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
I am sorry to read of the loss of your Minnie. It sounds like she had an incredible life with you after a rough start. She overcome her past to become a true terrier warrior queen! Those pesky trucks were made for barking. Minnie has a lot of TC pals at the Rainbow Bridge to play with and bark with. I know you are feeling sad and lonely without her and hope one day your home will have the pitter patter of little paws again.

Re: Minnie went to Rainbow Bridge today
Thank you all for all the wonderful support! It is much appreciated! It's so hard to not hear the pitter patter of paws on the tile floors or to do the normal day to day activities with Minnie. I know we have all experienced this. Hopefully one day, we'll have another little white dog in this house. I love this breed. We'll see what the future holds in the road ahead. Again, thanks for the wonderful support!
