I had to say good by to my Caesar Vote for this post

I am heartbroken to have to tell all my Terrier Club family that my precious Caesar crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 pm.  I am sorry it took me so long to let you all know but this happened very very quickly and I have just been heart broken and unable to sit down and write this sad note.  I almost lost my Caesar 1 1/2yr. ago to pneumonia.  We knew something was going on but did not know for sure what it was.  His pneumonia was teated with an antibiotic which he remained on for the rest of his life.  This past year and a half he did very well.  Early last week I noticed he seemed weaker. On Tuesday afternoon he stopped eating and drinking.  He keep wanting to go out.  He kept trying to pee but could not.  I called my Vet and unfortunately ended up with the office secretary from hell.  I told her it was any emergency but she refused let me bring him in until Thursday afternoon at 2:30.  I took Caesar to our local Urgent Pet Vets at 8 PM as an emergency.  The Emergency Vet did a urine sample on him and 9 x rays which were read by a radiologist.  The urine sample showed blood and many transitional cancer cells in his urine.  The x rays should multiple tumors in his lungs, abdomen and a small blocked bladder.  Caesar had end stage metastatic bladder cancer.  I took Caesar home after the Vet  gave him some pain and nausea shots and fluid.  She also gave me all the test rests for my Vet.  To make a long story short he was much worse on Wednesday, still could not get anywhere with my Vet so I had to take him back to Emergeny Vet.  He crossed the bridge peacefully in my arms at 2:30pm.  I am just heartbroken.  I adopted Caesar 12 1/2 yrs ago at the age of 2.  He was my baby boy and the sweet boy I ever had.  Caesar Scottie brother Judah keeps looking for him.  They were close.  I will try to post some of my favorite pictures of him tomorrow. This all I handle tonight.  Love Louise & Judah

Louise, we are deeply saddened by this news and so sorry for the difficult time you had to go through.

Whenever I read about such a loss here on the TC, I can feel that heartbreak so many of us have gone through. Our own Cindy, Penny, and Katy will be there to welcome your Caesar at the Rainbow Bridge.

Evelyn and I are lighting a virtual candle tonight for dear Caesar and our thoughts are with you.

Mark

I'm so sorry to read Caesar is at the Rainbow Bridge now. He was a sweet and loving boy. I enjoyed reading his messages and could tell how much he loved you and his Scottie brothers. My thoughts are with you. I hope he found Mischief and she'll (and his Poodles) will share my grandfather's recliner with him. By all accounts my grandfather was also sweet and loving like Caesar.

We are so sorry  to hear about Ceasar.

It sounds like to poor little boy had no chance for recovery and was suffering.

Letting go is devastating for us but it is the best thing for our little loves.

Hold on to the good times and know he had a long loving life.

Love Riley and Allen

So sorry to hear about your little lad and that you had such an awful time with your vet's receptionist no-one should be treated that way. Even though our vet has emergency care available for me it is easier to go to the vet emergency clinic. RIP little one. Take good care of yourself Louise especially over the next few days.

Oh, Louise, so very sorry to hear of little Caesar's passing.  He was such a handsome boy.  I know how hard it is to lose a little one.  Know that his journey to the bridge was swift and it is now free from pain and healthy and happy again.  Know that he was met by all of our furkids  and will show him the way.

Your heart is breaking right now, but know that you will meet again one day.

god bless and please take care.

Louise, my heart goes out to you and Judah. I can hardly type for the tears knowing how much you love Caesar and how hard it is to let them go even though we know in our hearts that it's time.. I am furious reading how uncaring your vet was. No one should have to go through that when they're worried sick about their baby and want and need help. Many TC Angels met Caesar at RB so take comfort that he's surrounded by friends, healthy, and enjoying himself. One day, you'll be together once more and till then, he'll be watching over you and Judah. I keep you and Judah in my thoughts and prayers and hope you will continue here at TC. We're here for you if you need us or just want to share.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Thank you Deb.  I had to take Judah to the Vet yesterday for his yearly check up and  shots.  When I told him what happened to Caesar he didn't seem to care. Made a comment that he was old and I got 2 more years from him!  I am looking for a new Vet!!!!  Louise & Judah

Dear Louise I am so very sorry to see your post this Morning that your sweet Caesar has gone to rainbow bridge. Writing this with tears and my heart breaks for you knowing the pain and loss you are going through. We are never ready to say goodbye . My Maddie also went quickly with bladder cancer like Caesar. She also had other auto immune problems that she had weakened her health over the years.
Sending you  and Judah our love and we will light a candle tonight for dear Caesar.

Hugs Sandra Master Grady

Louise, I am just sick to hear about Caesar 😢 I wondered how he was doing and remember that he had some issues a while back.  It sounds like he had a wonderful, full, loving life with you.  I am sad for Judah--he lost his pal.  And you lost your furkid.  It just doesn't get any easier losing these wonderful family members of ours.

Hug Judah for us!  Prayers to you as well.

Thank you Eileen.  He did have some issues a couple of years ago.  I had to fight with my Vet to treat him.  He did live two more good years and I a very grateful for that.  I am looking for a new Vet.  If you furkid is older they don't think their worth messing with!!!  Louise & Judah

Louise, I can't  believe the treatment you got from your vet.  I don't blame you for looking for another one.  I would do the same thing.

What in the heck is the deal w/this uncaring, unfeeling excuse for a vet?  How can he be in this business?  I'd drop hiim flat too.  He's not worth one red cent of your hard earned money.  To say this to you after you lost your wonderful family member is more than harsh.  How do people go through life with such disregard for people's losses?  I hope you find a vet that is worthy to have your business.  These dogs aren't throw aways after they get to the elderly years!  I would hate to see how he treats people in his own family--the older ones. Gosh this just sickens me to no end. I am so sorry he was this bad to you!
