Travel restraints
Does anyone use a travel restraint or harness when traveling with thier furbabies? it was never a problem with one as we took the middle seat out of the van and she had her kennel if she wanted or would sit with the passenger (not safe I know) but now with two and we bought a new car yesterday and would rather take it casue of the mileage on our next trip.. I'm not so sure how they will be able to ride anad be safe any suggestions??

Re: Travel restraints
There are plenty available. Many here buy The Lookout Seats. I just have my rear seats folded flat and The Minkies have pillows and a quilt in the back and they're loose. XXX.

Re: Travel restraints
My girls are always harnessed in the car, I have a backseat buddy (it's a special padded cover for the seat) and then I put some blankets over the top of it, harness them in with the seatbelts and they have a couple of pillows and a couple of teddy bears. There are many harness devices available.

Re: Travel restraints
I use the Lookout for mine. They are harnessed in but can see out the windows and seem very content with this.

Re: Travel restraints
I use the doggie seat belt harnesses and hook them to the center back seat belt. I use carabiners to connect them so its easier to unclip when we need potty breaks.
since I have 3 or 4 traveling, we need to be able to have the line up on the seat. corinne

Re: Travel restraints
My Madison went through 3 restraints...she managed to wiggle herself out of 2 of them and the other, she managed to entangle her leg in it. I now have a enclosed carrier that I'm not that crazy about but it's better than having her play around with my foot on the gas petal!! I've heard rave reviews of the snoozer dog beds that I have yet to try...maybe down the road
