Re: Look wot Daddy got for me
Oh my, you did get a big surprise didn't you Nimby Sue? I'm sure your bestest friend is looking down and drooling right about now. Chickie was her favorite food, and here you are with four of them! I wonder, will your Mummy be making you scrambled eggs for breakie now? They look like nice egg layers--brown eggs for sure! You make sure they're tucked away nice and tight every night, and watch out for that foxy! I hope you gave your Daddy a great big kiss for such a nice pressie! Love to you all, Deb and Kelsie, my Angel Girl

What a great present Nimby. Your own Chickies. Will your Mom be making you scrambled eggs for breakfast I wonder? Hopefully the foxes will stay away from your Chickies.

Re: Look wot Daddy got for me
Oh my stars we never thought of chuckies . It brings back great memories for our Mama she had chuckies when she was a young girl. They laid great eggs. They had a real nice house to live in covered with a screen in front of it and also a open screened in large place.. Our Mama had names for each one and she had one for herself that she called Grace Kelly. One day she came from school and came in the back way and she saw her Papa kill her Grace Kelly. She screamed at him and was crying. Her Papa was shocked that she saw him do that and she told her Papa she was no longer eating chuckies. All her Papa told her that it was ok with him because now he could eat more. It was smelling real nice at the dinner table but our Mama just could not eat her Grace Kelly. Now she is a Vegan it is no wonder. We love eggs Papa eats them and sometimes out Mama fixes us one but she does not eat them anymore either. You take good care of those Nimby Sue and we sure hope that fox stays away.. Love,Moshe & Levi

Re: Look wot Daddy got for me
Wow!!!...What a smashing prezzie from your Dad... Four little Chuckies For you and Suckie You two sure are lucky....:)))....Your not going to eat them eh!
Lovely to read, they have been rescued from battery cages...((♥)) Mum buys some nice tasty free-range eggs from our neighbour down the street. The quackies that come and visit , don't leave any eggs behind for us...:( Even tho Mum feeds them nice yummy stuff, like my special dog bickies that have been soaked overnight and stacks of other tasty goodies...Good thing, most of the time there is a fence between us, or I'd pinch the lot before them...:) Jocky xx

Re: Look wot Daddy got for me
Mom would love to have some hens, but Dad says no. Probably for the best as we have quite a raccoon problem. Also, Buster loves to chase them - and other things. Silly Scottie, he thinks he's a bird dog. Anyway, we love your chuckies. Maybe a little scrambled egg coming your way?

Re: Look wot Daddy got for me
Those poor chicks wouldn't last 5 min here (literally). Gracie (and Penny next door) would have lunch and dinner with them. Those 2 are horrible. They chase all the chickens in the neighborhood. When Gracie was a pup she chased on down a huge ravine. The chicen played dead and dummy barked at it a good 10 min and then came back up the steep hill. Love the fresh eggs.
