A am sure you all remember two weeks ago, when we rescued Wendy, the Westie with the severe skin problems AND Carter from the Council Bluffs Shelter. Their days were numbered & we were able to get them Both Out of the Shelter and into Westie Rescue of Missouri. Look a what a difference TWO weeks has made in Both of their lives!!! Carter is now known as The Ozzie Boy!!! He stole his foster mommie (Kim)and daddy's (Mike) Hearts!!! I brought Ozzie home with me and got him out of that steel cage! Oh, he needed to cleaned up and then to the vet. He got his shots and spent the night, had a great time with Ralphie, Abby Lu and Winnie and was ready to head on his transport with Wendy to Missouri to meet Lu Ann and be fostered by Kim for more care. Ozzie was found as a stray by Carter Lake near the Omaha Airport. Kim has changed his name to Ozzie...(lots better than being named after a dirty lake near an airport that held no fond memories for this sweet, hungry & neglected little guy.) Ozzie had Very dirty teeth, and a tumor under his left front leg. When Kim took him to have his pre Op exam to have the tumor removed and his teeth cleaned the X-Rays showed bladder stones. Ozzie has had the stones and tumor removed, and his teeth cleaned and is healing quite nicely. He will require a special diet and care the rest of his sweet life!! Kim & Mike have decided to adopt Ozzie as a member of their family!!! Check out their homepage soon...Ozzie White is a NEW MEMBER of the TERRIER CLUB!!! By the look on little Ozzies face he is found that special place over the rainbow filled with lots of love,& fun and wonderful care!! Ozzie wanted to ride up front on the console to enjoy the freedom and the sites of the countryside on the way to Mound City, to meet Lu Ann. Kim and I had noticed how ofter he had to urinate, and not very much, & no wonder the little guy was not feeling well!!! Thank goodness she had him X-Rayed!!! We wonder if perhaps, he, due to his bladder problem was urinating in his former owners home and was Kicked out or dumped!!! This is the photo of Ozzie's tumor removal. Kim reports that he is healing very nicely,& continues to feel better everyday. Ozzie also got his teeth cleaned. Oh, they were So neglected!!! I just received this darling photo of Ozzie from Kim, his adoptive Mommie!!! Ozzie just returned home from the groomer & is all ready for the 4th of July holiday!!!
