Lucky Needs Help Getting Home

Hello everyone!

Westie Rescue of Missouri is trying to get a little Westie Mix to his new family. We need some help.

We are hoping to do this over the next week/weekend. The proposed route would be:

KC, MO to St. Charles, MO
St. Charles, MO to Effingham, IL
Effingham, IL to Champaign, IL
Champaign, IL to Indianapolis, IN
Indianapolis, IN to Dayton, OH
Dayton, OH to Cambridge, OH

THIS is is just a message to see if we would have volunteers for these legs. Once I know we have the people to fill them, we will start working on the actual dates.

If you could send me your availability and leg you would be able to fill, I would certainly appreciate it AND Lucky and his new family will be MOST appreciative!! His family will be driving from Pennsylvania to get him in Cambridge, OH (possibly further). Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you again,
Angie

PS
Just to give you an idea of the home Lucky is getting, they recently lost their little mix and are simply heart sick with out him. Gerri saw Lucky on petfinder and both she and her husband fell in love instantly - his new mom writes:

Dear Kim,

I really hope we can work something out for Lucky. I printed his picture from the internet and have it on my night stand. I see him before I go to bed and and when I wake up. I am praying for God's Will. We are so lonely for a sweet little friend again. I fall in love with Lucky every time I look at his picture. Tandy was my mother's and Mom had her spayed. I inherited her when Mom and Dad both had to live in a nursing home. Our dogs were never without supervision....We adored Cougar and he was so loyal to us. Even when he was sick, he wagged his little tail to greet us. He will always be in our hearts. He was the best friend ever. Out hearts are bursting to give love again in his honor.
Thanks. God Bless. Gerri

Within a few short hours we have ALL legs filled!!! I can't thank you enough and a member of our club is helping!!!

Lucky goes home next weekend after near death in a shelter and six long weeks in rescue!

Lucky's new mom wrote after she got the news:

Dear Kim,

I called my husband at work to tell him. We are so excited! Thank you so much for calling me personally to tell me the good news. I am so surprised it did not take long but when the Lord is in it, miracles happen. Thank you for all
your hard work. We thank everyone. We will give him all our love. It has been so lonely without a furry friend to love. Everytime I hug him, I will be hugging Cougar. Our hearts are big enough to love them all. You have made us
so happy. It has been a difficult time. I knew there must be a dog out there that needed our love as much as we need to give it. We will take good care of him. It will seem real when I have his little furry body in my arms. Thanks again. I'm sure we'll be in touch. You have made my day! Gerri
