Stewart Westie in West Virginia & Sandy in Ohio
I was just notified that Stewart has been adopted and that Sandy the Cairn in Ohio can not be adopted out of state. I was told to look closer to home.

oh boy, am I really frosted about those guys, especially about Sandy, the little Cairn in Ohio! Their post on Petfinders did NOT say they would not adopt out-of-state! Did they specifically state why? This is just horse manure!!! They need to get out of the Dark Ages!
I wonder if Angie or A.J. @ WRM have any contacts in the state who could help? Have you contacted either of them? Especially Angie, as she's in Illinois.
My position (attitude??) is that "it ain't over till the fat lady sings" and she ain't sung yet!!! Look what's happening w/ little Benji here in Red Bluff, CA. Sometimes it takes perseverance and contacts.
Please let me know if and how I can help. I would surely like to see you at least have a chance w/ Sandy.

How about I go to the shelter, adopt her, bring her home, take her for a drive... stop at a rest area, she runs away. how sad.... BUT "somehow" she ends up in pittsburgh with a very nice lady and her oh so adorable cairn. What a great family! I don't have the heart to take her back now.... i know it's unethical.... but c'mon, these people are ridiculous.

My goodness, what a devious woman you are !!!
Actually Sandy is w/ a foster mum, not in a shelter, so would be harder.
But you are very much like me and think "out of the box!!!"
You must be a business woman or in a customer-service type situation, or something similar.
Anyway, great idea, but you didn't hear that from me. Tee hee hee!
Also, I haven't forgotten about South/North Carolina, just putting my thoughts together.
