My name is Jake.
I am a young Westie who has come into rescue due to my need of being an only dog. I am very loving and happy, but I don't get along with dogs IN my house. Outside my house, I'm okay with dogs at the dog park and walks, but I need some time to settle into my new home. Cats are out too. I have a few issues that only Westie folks understand, so I need a home who can work with me. Nothing horrible, I just need help in understanding that no one is going to STEAL my food or toys. I can be groomed fine, but my head is the problem... I get really freaked out - so if your groomer is gentle and is willing to work with me - it would be helpful.
I know I sound like trouble, but I'm really not. I'm just hoping to find a home that is calm. Are you out there? I am a love bug - you can see in the photo as I lie on the tummy of my human I so loved. Please, give me a chance. I need you.

This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered and very sad.
