New Westie in Rescue

Who am I? Foster mom Carol (Petey's mom) writes:

6 year old male taken to vet to be put down because he nipped at the grandchildren - not bite - nipped. His name is Mac. The gals at the vet office know this little guy and decided not to put him down. The groomer even said he is a sweetheart. So home he came with me. He is a sweetheart. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He loves to go for walks. He loves to sit with you. He is not too sure about cats and so far he is getting along with other dogs. Housebroken, but he's marked a few times - however, its typical of being in a new environment.

He's a pretty husky boy...but a sweetheart.

Amazing, isn't it? He NIPS at a child and they KILL THE DOG! What if a child had BIT another child .... I guess they'd have to take him to the hospital and have him euthanized or better yet, just take him out and shoot him. That would be logical, huh? They sure wouldn't want to try to just correct the behavior ... yes, I sure think just killing the kid would be best.

PEOPLE!

I'm sure this dog is going to be SOOOOOO happy to find a new family ... can you imagine how he must have been treated in this home if this is what they think of him !

He's adorable. What a sad story and to lose his home probably because a child was mean to him and he was defending himself. Sooooo glad you took him, Carol. He will be a wonderful companion for the right person. Such a gorgeous face and so happy looking to be with you.

Would assume the pet is signed over to the Vet when euthanasia is requested....if not, well, gee, that's too bad.....
