A comment on older dogs
Just a note here, came to mind when adding notes about Teddy Bear to the status.
When you bring an older dog into a home with a younger dog, you may be doing the younger one a great favor.
When I get my puppies, I EXPECT my older dog to help in the training and they always do... where the door is, that you potty outside, (how to bark at the mailman - no, not that one).. that they arent the most important dog in the universe (that would be the older dog)
if you have a younger dog that could use some help, consider one of the older rescues. I do know Frankie is wonderful, well mannered etc and has taken some of the edge off Edy.
Corinne & Duncan (is 8 old? I dont fink so) & Edy(Yes, mr frankie, I be a good girl) & Frankie (keep in line there girl, thats not how it was done in the regiment)

Good thinking. Rio's housetraining was a breeze as she had Sparky to follow... XXX.

Katie has Logan to follow, but sometimes she has other ideas. A good spot to her seems to be my dining room. Just when I think she is trained, she goes back to square 1.

I had to laugh the barking lessons. Maggie has very dutifully taught both pups to bark and run the length of the fence after the UPS truck. I think the driver looks forward to it as she always waves to them and smiles.
