Shelter closing
Hi gang
I was looking at the petfinder site for Nova Scotia and came across this disturbing peace of information:
...the Beula Burman memorial Animal Shelter, 528 Sandy Point Road in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Tragically the shelter is closing and animals must be placed by October 31/2003. Their phone number is 902-875-4131....
They actually do not have any terriers posted, but have 3 larger dogs: a husky, a dalmation and a lab/chow chow mix.
Shelburne is only a short trip from the ferry that goes to Yarmouth from Maine if anyone is at all interested. I would love to get another dog but I don't believe Nana could handle that.
If I can help at all, let me know.

Re: Shelter closing
How very sad as it sounds like they're still needed there... XXX.

Re: Shelter closing
Yes, it is sad as the 31st is so close. I believe they are all quite young, I think at least 2 of them are 2 years old. Not sure if there are more, only 3 were listed.
Nova Scotia is very pretty this time of year and the American dollar goes far if anyone feels the urge to come up and get one :o)

Re: Shelter closing
Yay! 2 have been adopted but there is still one dalmation left. Sounds like a cutie.
