Ainsley gets adopted!!

AND she still has her eye...(she was spayed.. and she had an infection... its clear now)

Here's Ann's note.

Well, the day has finally come that little Ainsley will be leaving my home, and it is breaking my heart. She was so pitiful, sad, and frightened when she first arrived and she's become a good, loving, and playful little girl. Her tummy is finally clear of tubes and stitches and she's feeling pretty strong again. Tomorrow will be her first day without the E-collar (which I know she's excited about). I can't wait to see the reaction of Carney and Ainsley tomorrow, when they meet again (I just hope it is a good meeting, like we imagine it should be) and plan to take my camera for a few shots. Thanks for all the many prayers that have been said for Ainsley. She walked into our hearts and made us ashamed of our own kind, but has gotten all the help she needed and is getting stronger every day. She has gained 2.5 pounds since here and there's a more satisfied look in her face now. She was very deserving of our help and love and I'm proud to have played my part in seeing her find happiness and love. Wish her well and hopefully we'll be kept informed of her progress and health issues, as they come about. We send our love with her.

I bet her new forever Mom is so excited to finally get her. The home sounded so wonderful. We would love to see pictures. And we send hugs to foster mom!

The arrival Reply to this Message

ok, so this is the last note.. her arrival at her new home..

from Ann.
Ainsley finally made it home, to be with Carney this evening. Carney was so happy to see us she just danced everywhere, but didn't seem to know if she wanted to be with us, or check out Ainsley. It took them a second to get acquainted (we woke Carney up), but then they recognized each other and Carney quickly took off to show Ainsley around. It was difficult to get pictures with them scampering up and down stairs and through the house, then Carney saw Ainsley's toys and decided she liked them so they both grabbed something that belonged to the other and were off...so satisfied. They acted like the two dogs that first accompanied us during the home visit, THESE were the girls that this family wanted, and now they finally have them...together. It is wonderful to find such a good home for our kids, but to have two go together when they didn't "come" with each other, is like a miracle especially since the family is so caring and dedicated to their "kids" and their health issues. Both are such good girls (under normal circumstances) and seem to just adore each other, so they couldn't be a better match. I was so proud to see these two girls happy again and the smile on Pam's face as she held Carney in her arms while we talked. Carney seemed to be as comfortable as Pam, I could see there was love between them, just as I hoped would happen. This family should have a great Thanksgiving with the two new additions to their loving family, and I have comfort in knowing they are close, and I can be there if needed. It broke my heart to hand that little girl over tonight, I can't imagine her not being around. During the long hurtful nights she has had with us, it has been impossible to not bond with her, the tender care you would give her, was always returned with a lick and a look, that touched my heart and soul. They are all special to me, in their own way, but Ainsley was just so needy and sickly, she got a lot of my time and I'll miss her terribly now. I am so thankful for good people who adopt our "kids" and know this will be a good holiday for them all.
