We have been contacted by a family who is wanting to essentially dump their 14 year old Westie into rescue due to her owner's frustration with her and his (the owner's) aging problems. I am hoping you may know someone in your area that may be willing to take in a senior dog who really hasn't that much time left. I know this is a call out of the blue - but we are scrambling to help this wee one as the family told us if rescue doesn't take her in, they will take her to a shelter!!!... and there - she would be put to sleep as she's not considered adoptable... :( Thank you for your time. Yes I thought of her and thought how I would feel if something like this had happened to Tasha. I wish there was a way I could help her but will have to just say prayers that someone close will give her the help she needs. Would like to know what happened to them in their golden years???? They are both wonderful loving little Yorkies ... I understood they were adopted by you for your mother...
