Terrier Club Rescue Forum Sedona update  From:  Message: Corinne November 27 at 20:51 Sedona update When I first got Sedona from the transport, I groomed her, lots of combing, stripping etc to get her looking so pretty for her pictures... I also found some bumps on her tummy (no, not THOSE BUMPS).. well it seems she had one cyst and two malignant tumors. The good news is that the pathology report came back as good as it could..clear edges, etc.. but the type of cells was bad. Col Potter then had her xrayed to see if the cancer had spread elsewhere, but the xrays arent clear ... it could be an old scar .. or it could be something bad.. We have had 2 vets now tell us to re xray in two months to be sure. So, Sedona really needs those prayers so she can be a cancer SURVIVOR and not just a cancer patient. She will be staying with me unless someone wants to take the chance to adopt her in this health... and if it turns out she has cancer, mine will be her final home. To all those who have helped our fundraisers, thank you so much, your assistance made it possible that Danielle could say go ahead each time I asked to take her to the vet.. the money was there... Her vet costs at my vet alone were near $500. My heart is just about in pieces. I asked Dr. Mike how he could have missed those bumps...and he said they were'nt there and he wanted me to keep him posted. Pam and pups November 28 at 15:57 Re: Sedona update We are so sad about Sedona's medical reports. But, let me tell you about our Mindy. She came to us a year ago last August. When she was taken for her first vet visit here, she was okay, etc, and we scheduled her spaying. When I took her back for the surgery--at her pre-surgery check-in that vet found her lumps. She had breast cancer too. They removed that and found the edges to be clear as well. They told us to take her home and love her and we did. We were sad, as was everyone at WRM and here at the TC site, when we got the news. But, Ms. Mindy is still here, running and griping at the rest of the pack, being the Queen. So, there is hope for Sedona as well and we hope she feels as good as Mindy does. We'll add Sedona to our prayer list too.
