Athena Update 10:40 cst
From her Foster Mom...
Athena had to have a c-section after all & was spayed at the same time & is doing OK. Sadly 2 of the puppies were dead. One of the remaining pups (both females) is OK but the other is weak so Dr C is cautious about the outcome on it. Athena will be able to come home this evening, barring any problems.

You know, this just breaks my heart.. I had to give Sedona a great big cuddle...
Wonder if Athena was still in her mill what would have happened... its just too sad.

Glad that Athena is doing well ... sending out prayers for the safe passage to the bridge for the two that didn't make and prayers for the recovery of the little weak one and prayers to the one that is doing Ok that she may continue to be OK.
Lots of prayers today I think but well worth it.

So sad for the two babies that didn't make it and the one who is struggling. I sure hope she will survive or at least not have to suffer long if not. I pray that the surviving baby girl has a happy and loving home when she is ready. Thanks for the update and give sweet Athena a hug from me and Scamp!

Sad news.. but thankful that Athena will be okay. Praying for both the pups and heartbroken for the two she lost. I'm sure she wouldn't have made it through this in the mill.

So sad 2 didn't make it and that one is still 'iffy', but it's good to know that Althena will be fine.

How terribly sad that two died.....I hope the other two littlies make it and hoping Athena is soon feeling much better after her ordeal.
