Re: Argyle ? Reply to this Message

from 1pm yesterday

Hi everyone:
I just got off the phone talking to Aly. She drove the 3 hours to the Vet's office this morning to have the chance to hug Argyle and tell him that he has a whole lot of people here who are on his team. Aly said that he is DARLING and when she stops petting him, he nudges her for more petting.

Aly LOVES the vet . . . she said she wished she was closer, this would be her vet. The Vet will be taking Argyle home with her for the weekend to keep a total watch on him. Currently, he is expected to be at the vets for approximately three weeks since his pelvis will be wired together. Aly said you would not believe what his x-rays looked like.

The vet gave permission to Aly to sit in the waiting room until the surgery is over (the office is closed). Aly will report back. KEEP THE CANDLES GOING MY DEAR FRIENDS.

Re: Argyle ? Reply to this Message

from 6pm tomorrow

Hi everyone:
Aly is on the way home from the Vet's now, and little Argyle went through the massive amputation of his one hind leg fine just fine . . . it was a VERY LONG surgery. From what I understand, the leg was totally pulverized at the hip . . . there was NOTHING that wasn't a mess. So he surely should be doing a lot better now since the little leg is gone.

Because of the length of time that Argyle was under anesthesia, the repair of his pelvis has been put off a short time. I DON'T KNOW yet, what a "short time" actually means . . . if it's a few days or week or what. Argyle has been put through an awful lot this past week and the vet felt that it would be best to do his surgery in two stages. Aly got to see him after surgery (I WAS VERY PROUD OF ALY :O) and the vet had everything ready to take him home for total care and loving this week end. The vet is WONDERFUL and compassionate and she just thinks that Argyle is a total sweetheart . . . so does everyone else.

Please continue the good thoughts for our little boy here. Aly will write tomorrow, and the vet gave Aly her home phone number so that she can call tomorrow for an update.

YIPPEE . . . good things happening to him already.

What a great vet. It is not surprising that he won her heart over as these little dogs can do that. That was a long wait Aly and I send you lots of hugs. You can share some with Argyle too if you want. Poor little boy. I just keep wondering how anyone could do that to him and then just dump him off. My heart weeps for little babies like these.

we are figuring he got hit by a car... he could have run away.. I just dread the thought someone loved him and lost him, then this happened..
