My Story.

Angie sent a link for Rescue stories.
I just got a E- mail back today they excepted Faiths story.
So for those of you that would like to read it here is the link, and the picture that made me fall in love with her.
I still remember the call I got from Angie asking me if I still wanted her. It took almost a month to get her well enough to travel from Ill. to PA.and to get the van lined up.
I still remember seeing her for the first time, this very small and oh so scared looking little thing of about 9 pounds that wouldn't even look at me.
It will be two year this month and she still is afraid at times but we look at it as her being our "special child"

Faith's story.

Very nice Eve, I still remember the first photo I ever saw of her. The pain in her eyes will be with me always. She certainly deserves the life she has now. There needs to be more like you.

Pleased I got to see this....and newer members that don't know her story.
How well I remember Sadie and Stella....I can still remember the really early photos when we thought one dog was in the crate and there were two...
Here's one of my favourite photos-Stella with her very first toy going home at long last....

Faith - a puppy mill rescue
February 11, 2004
This little Westie is now named Faith, and as you read her story you will understand why she could have no other name. She was once only a number in a puppy mill

The crate you see is nicer then the one she lived in all her life, it only had a wire bottom. She had never even walked on grass, or been outside, her water came from a drip bottle hung on the side of her cage.

She jumped and dropped her head in fear when ever she saw a hand. You see she had never been touched with kindness. She was never allowed to play as a puppy so her youth was even stolen from her.

But she is one of the lucky ones, she came out alive. And the reason is because her uterus ruptured and she could no longer produce puppies.

When the rescuer picked her up they saw she had a ulcerated eye; canine teeth worn down from chewing on the wire trying to escape the hell she was living in, she had urine burns all over her body and was covered with feces.

You may ask why this is allowed to go on, why don't they shut them down. Because you see the ones that live in the mills are the parents to the cute puppies you see in pet stores. They will tell you, "oh, we only buy from brokers", well what is a broker and where did the broker get the puppies? They say, "but we send someone out to check out the places where the puppies come from". Wrong, they are shown a show place. 90% of all pet store pups are from a mill.
There's so much we can do to help,. First walk away from the pet store, no sale, no mills. Second, write letters to everyone to make better laws. Third, want someone to love you? Go to your nearest shelter.

So you see Faith means hope, faith for a better tomorrow. Be the voice for those that have none, and then another little furface will have the same fate as my little Faith.

Faith now lives with two other "sisters" One called Phoenix, and the other is called Stormie because she is also from a puppy mill.

You know, I've always had a soft spot for little Faith and I didn't know her whole story. I can see why you loved her immediately. She has such a wonderful life now and a loving home. Thank you for giving this girl a whole new life. xxxMarianne and Maxxx
