Gordie the Carin,on his journey via Col. Potter

Today is a very happy day for Gordie & all of those wonderful friends involved in his journey from the puppy mill, to the vet & today to meet the wonderful friends from Col. Potter who met us to bring Gordie a step further to a wonderful NEW LIFE!!!
We brought Gordie home with us before traveling on to meet Karen who came from Kansas City to continue his journey to his new foster home in Missouri.
Gordie is such a sweet gentle little Carin. He just loved his time socializing with Ralphie, Abby Lu, Winnie & Shelby and our foster Scottie, Ruby.
He even began to wag his tail & gave me some kisses. After all of the fosters we have brought to our home to meet our kids....
It seems they all just sniff a little & as always are great little Rescue Ambassadors!!!
Once we have a new rescue all vetted, we introduce them to our kids....& our cats,& so far, we have had very positive experiences with everyone.
Thank goodness for the Rescue Angels from Col. Potter, we are sure that Gordy will be placed in a wonderful & loving forever home soon.
I have put together the collection of photos of Gordie in this Ofoto album. I also included his before photos of the day we met him and Gracie by the very old abandoned country church in rural Nebraska.
Gracie, the little Scottie is doing better each day in a wonderful Scottie foster home in Omaha. She has learned what good food, treats, grass, hugs, cuddles, gentle treatment and love is all about.
Both needed their years of neglectful health care evaluated & treated, however both Gordie and Gracie are now on their way to a wonderful LIFE!!!
(I am sure they will NEVER want to look back!!!!)
Thanks to everyone for ALL of your support for all of these wonderful Rescue sweet ones in need.
Here is a photo of Gordie meeting our kids.
And when you have time...check out the link to Gordie's Ofoto photo album...
Lots of pictures from today (3/20/04) meeting Col Potter Rescue & his rescue intake with Gracie (3/6/04)

This photo I think is so inspirational.
While we waited at that remote gas station across from the Old abandoned church, to meet the puppy mill person who was rleasing Gordie & Gracie to us,
I just KNEW their was a reason for this long journey....
This Old Abandoned country church in rural Nebraska, with broken windows and torn curtains flopping in the wind just gave me the most incredible feeling about what we are doing in Rescue.
Even though it may be just one or two animals at a time, we do make a difference.
I will quote Aly from CPCRN:
"To the World you are a rescue person, to the rescued dog, you are the world".
I think this is a wonderful message.

No, not yet, Lynda....
Still working on finding the perfect forever homes for the three Scotties who came into rescue in a week.
Annie and Gracie (Gordie's mill 'sister' is going through alot of treatment for a very infected ear. She is in a wonderful foster home in Omaha with Pat and Tom. Annie, the shelter Scottie from Council Bluffs is also with them....& darling little Ruby (we nick named her Boing Boing) because she flies through the air with springs on her feet is still here with us.
Oh, did she have fun greeting little Gordie yesterday. She even got him to play a little and wag his tail!!!
I just heard from Gordie's foster family, and they all arrived home with Gordie safely.
He will have a foster Carin sister, Daisy, and they are getting along beautifully.
Yesterday, he traveled for 10 hours to reach his foster home on transport & everyone who met him fell in love with his sweet and precious soul.
Just makes me SO Happy!!!
Now we need to spread the word for little Jake, a wonderful Bichon in foster care and find him a loving forever home.
