WRM needs donations

One of the things I hate more than anything in the world is begging for money. But, I'm coming to you with my hat in my hand. WRM continues to take in more and more dogs and funds are running very low.

So far this year, we have rescued 40 dogs. That's one dog every 2 1/2 days. The vet bills on these dogs almost always exceeds the adoption donation received. And, on top of that, we have to buy food and other essentials to take care of the dogs. Many times our foster homes are taking up the slack, but we are still falling behind. We are "losing" about $100 or $200 per dog. We are also seeing transportation costs skyrocketing and have yet to be able to reimburse our volunteers for the money they spend getting dogs from point A to point B.

We are taking dogs from a wider region. We are paying vet bills for dogs from many different states - not just Missouri.

Our philosophy has always been that as long as we had the money we would spend it on needy dogs - no matter where they are located. And, once the money stops, we will know that it is time to stop rescuing.

I believe that we have been very good stewards of the donations that we have received. None of our volunteers receive any salary for the work that they do. All of the donations are funneled into care of the dogs.

We have a great group of volunteers and a great group of supporters. Any help you could give us would really be appreciated.

Please send donations of money or supplies to:

Westie Rescue of Missouri, Inc.
13990 SE Holmes Road
Gower, Missouri 64454

Thank you so much!

If anyone would love to have some personalized address labels, just send me a photo of your pups. I will make them and all of the money will go to WRM. The cost will be $6.00 for 2 sheets of 30 return address labels.
