Sedona HAD an app

It was a very nice person.. but Sedona isnt potty trained.. and so her adoption fell thru. That lady need a trustworthy dog.

Sedona will go outside when the rest of the crew does, and will do her business there.. but if she has to go first... well thats a different story... she just pees or poops where she is..
and having spent a life in a crate, doing her business in it is a given..

it just never occurs to her to ask to go out... so I put them out often, make a fuss when they are there.. but for someone who would have to leave her at home a long while, they need to understand that she isnt trained..

and if thats a #1 importance to them, then Sedona's not the dog for them..

she will get a good home, until then she has a loving foster home (mine).

Sedona...I'm so sorry that happened. We miss you. We know that there is just the right home out there for you. Maybe it's meant to be that you stay there with your foster Mom forever.

John and I had a chat last nite.. if she's still here in Oct (1 yr anniversary of when she came) I'll put in an app for her.

She really would be happier in a home with just one other dog.. she gets a bit jealous of the ohters.

That's a great shame but she's one of the lucky ones. She'll be safe and loved until the perfect person wants her.

I have mixed feelings on this lady, if she doesn't have time to help train Sedona, then she is not the mom for her.
To me you must have time or a way to deal with what ever comes along.

I dont have mixed feelings.. She will be a great mom to a different cairn.

If there is something that is very important to you.. dont get a dog that cant provide it..

very simple

Both of them will do well with others... just not a match for them together.

Sedonas match will come.

CPCRN has a 'matchmakers' group that identifies the adopters expectations and matches them to the available dogs.. lets face it.. the family that would be great for Barney (young VERY ACTIVE, very confident, pretty well house trained) may not be the family for Sedona (older, more sedate, very shy, not housetrained)... These folks do a great job getting the right cairn to the right family.

The family who adopted Liberty, the former puppymill inmate, knew she wasn't housebroken, but wanted her anyway. Those people are around. Sedona's family is out here somewhere.

Sedona is very lucky to have such a wonderful foster home. Hope that she finds just as marvelous a 'forever' home. (or maybe she will be lucky enough to stay with you, if it all works out)
