McGowen Got his Angel Wings this Morning

Early this morning the vet who has our McGowen called and our little boy crossed the bridge just a few minutes ago. His little body just wasn't as strong as his cairn heart - He wasn't alone, but with the family of vets and techs that have come to love him as much as we do. I had wanted so much for him to have his miracle, boy sometimes rescue can really just break your heart. The vets office will send his ashes to Danielle, so he can be buried with Spirit watching over him.
A song came into my head after I hung up with the vet - It is from a musical called "Rent" and it asks the question, How do you measure a life - McGowen's life here on earth was short in minutes, but very long in love.
Seasons' of Love:

Very, very sad to see this terrible news.....thinking of you, sweet McGowan...you have your wings, wear them with pride, sweet boy. We're sorry you didn't make it...you were much loved already and will be sadly missed.

We're so sorry sweet McGowen didn't make it and now is with the other angels we've lost. Bless his heart and all that took such wonderful care of him

I just wanted to thank those of you who share our pain and have expressed your heartfelt symphathy for this little boy's passing. It is hard enough to lose an older friend,, but it just seems so wrong to lose the young ones.

I am very sorry to hear of his passing. I can't imagine how hard this if for those of you who try so hard to rescue these pups and give them the lives they deserve.

I am so sorry to read this, how absolutely heartbreaking for you. McGowan was so lucky though to have so much love in his life at the end. Such a dear wee boy.

Oh no. Just got back on line at home after a week. I had been praying and praying for McGowen---to be healed. He is with the other angels now--too sad--he had so many pulling for him.

McGowen was lucky to have loving and caring people around him. I'm so sorry to all those who knew him and are missing him now, but he knows you loved him.
