TRANSPORT: Washington, PA to Breezewood, PA - 6/4
The Cairn Rescue League needs help getting Jackie from Washington, PA to Breezewood, PA, this Saturday, June 4. We are just missing this one leg. Time and exact meeting places are flexible.
This transport was postponed from last weekend to take advantage of a ride all the way from Philadelphia/Valley Forge to Brattleboro, VT. Jackie was rescued from a shelter in March where she was going to be put down because of her age (5), a grade one heart murmur, and food allergies.
Katie, Cubby, Misty, Sammy
Jackie is a 20 lb. 6YO rough-coated Jack Russell mix, not hyper, good with children, other dogs, and cats. She is clean, healthy, spayed, up-to-date on shots (rabies, distemper, and bordatella), heartworm and fecal negative, and flea/tick free. She'll be traveling in her own crate with her own leash and collar, food, ID and rabies tags, vet records, health certificate, etc. Her only issue is that she is almost certain to chew the bedding in her crate. Jackie is traveling from her foster home, where she's been since March, to an approved adoptive home (reference check and home visit successfully completed).

LEG 2: Washington, PA to Breezewood, PA - 131 miles - 2 hrs. 15 min.
START: 11:15am - ***NEEDED***
LEG 3: Breezewood, PA to Harrisburg, PA - 87 miles - 1 hr. 30 min.

LEG 4: Harrisburg, PA to Essington, PA - 113 miles - 2 hours
START: 3:30pm - FILLED - Thank you, Diane!
SUNDAY, JUNE 5
LEG 5: Philadelphia/Valley Forge to Brattleboro, VT
FILLED - Thank you, Charmaine!
LEG 6: Brattleboro, VT to Atkinson, NH
FILLED by rescue - new owners will pick Jackie up in Atkinson

Hope you get the remaining legs filled...why not try putting a toy or two in her crate to distract her, or a bone if she's liable to tear the bedding up ?

I wish I could help but it's almost 7 hours for me to get there just to help with transport. Keep my name in case you ever need anyone through western and central NY as I'm in Rochester - I'm 2 hours to Erie, 2 hours to Corning/Elmira, and about 2 hours to Binghamton (probably 3 to Watertown).
