It's the perfect place, Lee. I wasn't aware Kirby was a rescue ! I got both Minkies from a breeder in South Wales and I've often worried it might be a puppy farm, so I've emailed them to see if they can help me with any information. If I wanted another Westie I'd go to him, but not happily if he's a bit dubious.

Hi Lynda,

Wales has a great many Farms sadly new owners somtimes think because Pedigrees are given out they are not a PF Pup.

Some of the PF Pup's in Wales sell the Pups onto a HUGE Pet store in Manchester all Breeds it's very sad and new owner have no idea they have just bought a poor little Pup breed on a PF and then sent in transit to a shop..It's awful

I have a friend with a Sammy that came from there!

Places like Many Tears get left to pick up pieces! Poor beautiful dogs that have been over breed, won't breed, got health problems or imperfect Pups like my Kirby.

Thess PF Breeders can't have a soul!

I know there's a lot operating out there. I did go once but I hope it's not a dodgy place. The lady at your link didn't know them by name, it seems, so I didn't bother giving her the kennel's name. I'd like to know, though.
However, saying that, the Minkies have both enjoyed splendid health and long lives....

Hi Lee

Thankfully Westie Rescue does an awful lot of work throughout the UK too.

Sounds like they do a lot to help animals at Tears

Lynda,

And LONG may it continue:) I know I took a risk with Kirby but life is too short to worry really he was what we wanted and he has proved to be a VERY specail little Boy indeed and I don't think he could have been any happier...
