PLEASE WELCOME MURDOCK!!
Another wonderful message from our very busy (UNFORTUNATELY!!) Intakes Manager. I just figured out how to include pictures so take a look at Murdock at the vets in Missouri - hopefully he'll soon be traveling off to his new foster home.

PLEASE WELCOME MURDOCK!!
Murdock is one lucky little boy! He had a rescue angel watching over him in the person of the business manager of our vet in Carthage, MO who just happens to be on the board of directors of the local animal shelter. When Murdock didn't get adopted and his time was up, his angel pulled him and got him to Col. Potter's loving arms.
Murdock came in to the shelter as a stray. He was quite a filthy, smelly mess and necessitated driving the five miles from the shelter to the vet clinic with the windows of the vehicle wide open. He was a nameless boy until the staff at the vet held a staff contest to name him. The top three vote getters were submitted and after checking our Used Name Database, Murdock was the winning name. It was a sweet deal all around with the vet staff winner receiving a gift certificate to a local chocolate shop courtesy of the vet clinic. After a bath, Murdock is feeling much better and everyone is a lot happier to have him around them! Since arrivng at the vet clinic, Murdock has come down with kennel cough as a result of his stay at the shelter. He is being treated for the kennel cough and when feeling better, will have the remainder of his vetting done before moving to a foster home.

He is a handsome fellow indeed. I am sure he will find a wonderful home thanks to all the rescue angels helping him along the way...
