non tearing bed? Vote for this post

is there such thing as a bed a dog will not tear? Although mac has done well.... in his ex-pen he has gone though 2 beds. Which I guess is pretty good seeing we got him when we was 3 1/2 months and is now 9 months. But just wondering if there is a well made bed for the pups!

Most dogs like to 'fluff' their beds up, Casey is no acception! All his beds (4 - he's not too spoiled) have loose blankets in them so he can fluff them up to his liking without ripping up the bed itself.

Have you tried this with Mack? I don't know of any material that would stand up to Casey's claws, even the sheepskin has had clumps of wool pulled from it LOL

Try laying old towels in it as that should preserve it.

I have found the Woolrich beds that they sell at Target to be pretty sturdy. (They are currently on sale for 19.99). They have a variety of tougher fabrics like denim and micro fiber that seem to hold up pretty well to being "fluffed" up. The covers unzip and come off for washing too. However, if Mack is like Glen and just has a naughty streak, then nothing would stand up to a good prolonged attack LOL

Do a Google search for "bully beds." They're supposed to be pretty tough.

I bought a bed for Shelby to put in her pen, she unzipped it and tore the foam up..
I am going to check those beds out. She needs something tough!

Can you get a hard plastic one and put blankets in it. We used to always use them and never had a problem..
