Sweet Potato surprise treats
These are the yummiest... 1 medium sweet potato peeled, cut into pieces and cooked add 1/4 cup dried cranberries When cooked and cooled puree in blender or food processor add 2 tablespoons honey 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil 1 egg when all pureed together pour into mixing bowl and add oat flour to make a stiff dough. Knead in more oat flour til dough is smooth and pliable. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick and cut with cutter. Bake 275 for 1 hour.(low temp cooks but doesn't brown the biscuits) Turn oven off and leave until cool. This makes a hard biscuit that is very crunchy. Store in cookie jar and watch the kids..They like them too. Let us know how you like them. xxxxDSB

Re: Sweet Potato surprise treats
We hope you all do try them, I can't begin tell you the benefits of getting them off all the extras in the store bought treats. Here's a variation of the same recipe...It's tasty too. Instead of sweet potatoes and cranberries use 2 apples peeled, cored, and cooked with 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, or 1/4 dried. Don't forget the cinnamon. Mext if you're interested we will post some meat based ones that the Girlies love. xxxxBetty and the Girliues...

Re: Sweet Potato surprise treats
We are definitely interested in some meat based ones, Gracie doesn't eat much that doesn't have meat in it. She just turns her nose up and walks away while the rest eat up all the treats! She's my picky eater. She will eat carrots though. She's a funny little girl, but we love her more than we can say. Thank you for the recipes!
