Presc. Diet Vote for this post

Haylee has been placed on a Presciption diet. It is Hills Science Diet H/D. Canned and Dry. Hoping I could get at PetSmart, but we can't. Only from Vets, that's OK. I am also placing a small amount of Morton Lite Salt on her canned per vets. request. She has lost a bit of her appetite. And Dr. said no more HOT DOGS!! She is not happy about that!!
Vet. says She will not get better, only expects it not to get worse. Haylee in quilt with Dad and Jesse taking up other end of couch!!! Kisses to all from Haylee..

Haylee, don't feel bad. I only can eat prescription diet from the vet's also. You get used to it after some time. Just have Mommy work closely with the vet - who knows, perhaps one of these days, Mommy can add a little chicken? But do ask the vet.

Good luck to you, little girl.

Love,

I guess if it helps her it's worth it....I'd be careful with the things like the pizza too. I loved the photo but I'd hate for it to upset her.

She was not or did she eat the Pizza!! She just carried it like a baby is all. And Yes, I need to ask vet. about everything she eats!!!

From what I understand about the vet diets, every little morsel you want to add has to be approved. In the long run, it's worth it - those diets save lives.

Kim,

FYI, Shae our Dalmatian, has an enlarged heart and has lost lots of weight and condition. The Vet has also put her on Science Diet and I believe it has helped her condition.

Love
Paula.

It will be one week on this diet Wednesday. And Haylee is hardly eating anything now.. Half of her wet and zero dry.. Waiting for vet. to give me a call, hoping he will let me try and give her a bit of something with her new food. So, tempted to give her one of her Beloved "Hot Dogs!" Thank you for your insight, Kim
