Training
Max and Bailey have settled in real nice with each other. I am now wanting to start the boys on some advance training.
My question is for those who have experience with more than one dog.
Is it easier to train them together or should we make separate training time for each dog. My wife and I both plan on being in on the training together.

I have always found at the advance level a little of both is best.
Training separate ensures that they know the skills independantly, while a little together training ensures they can perform them even when distracted by each other.

I've never done it but it's nice you're both doing this together. As long as mine don't leg it while off the lead I'm happy-easily pleased !! Good luck.

What type of training?
My boys do agility and earthdog, neither of which can be done except one-on-one (handler and dog).

We are starting off with obedience training. Both Max and Bailey overall are very good furkids, but they have a few social areas where a some fine tuning is needed.
Our goal is get them "Canine Good Citizen" certificates. We have met some very well behaved dogs and they have all completed this training. Once we get back from vacation All of us are headed to school.

I don't think we will ever get as far as advanced training! We have been working on training with Glen and he is really eager to please, he really seems to have fun and enjoy learning new things. Heidi on the other hand is only interested if there is something in it for her like a treat, and even then she loses interest.
