Red River, New Mexico
Hi friends! I thought I'd share some piccies of me from this weekend in Red River, New Mexico. We went up to open our little cabin for the summer and I got to chase chippie monks, go fishing, go running in the meadow and up the mountain and rest in the hammock! This first pic is my view from the hammock! We came back home yesterday and I slept the entire 5 hour drive! Hope you enjoy my pics!

Paw waves....Hi ya Millie. We pick this pic as a POW and put our vote in. You look so cute peeking through the stickily branches. Looks like you had a fabulous time...and a beautiful place to retreat to.We were to go fishing for the holiday but our plans changed when Willie had an accident over the weekend. Making plans to go this week. Thanks for sharing your sweet pictures of your trip.

Re: Red River, New Mexico
Hi Samantha, I grew up 70 miles from Red River, NM. I grew up in Los Alamos, NM. I love your pictures of Millie. At least once a month we would drive up to Taos, then across to Angel Fire and Red River. There are some wonderful antique shops in the mountain pass between Taos and Red River. We always stopped at the shops so my Mom could browse the antique glass ware. My Mom always found a nice piece to buy. I really miss the mountains of New Mexico and wish I could move back there, maybe to Santa Fe

Re: David
Santa Fee is awesome we stayed their 5 days and rented a car because we flew in. Loved it in THE mountains we drive to Taos too. After 5 days I was ready togo home .I never saw so much jewelry in my life. I bought a antique bear with a silver feather & turquoise .The person who made it was Indian and it is signed.

Santa Fe is definitely what they call the City Different isn't it. I just love New Mexico and would like to return there, maybe sooner than later.

Re: David
Richards sister lived in New Mexico. Our kids loved White Sands and the mountains. We often visited and now Richard sister lives with one of her sons after she lost her husband. She is scared of all the traffic. It is bumper to bumper and so many spaghetti bowls I am afraid to drive their now too. I hate big cities so glad I never lived in a big City. I don't think I could sleep in a big city. I was raised in a wooded area a very nice area. New Mexico is a poor state but a very nice state. Hope your dreams come true for you David to move back.
