Sunnie / Hudson is Safe Vote for this post

For those who didn't know,a Col Potter adoptee pulled her leash from her new moms hand the second day at her home... she was in a forested area... Many Col Potter volunteers spent their own time going and hunting for her.. and 52 days later.. WE GOT HER...
The following is the announcement.

SUNNIE IS CURRENTLY IN A CRATE IN THE BACKSEAT OF SUSAN BEENY'S CAR!!!!! WE HAVE HER!!!!!

Little Miss Sunnie came over bright and early this morning for her gourmet breakfast of steak and chicken. Yesterday Sunnie had actually started taking treats out of Susan's hand. This morning Sunnie came trotting into the little Doxie's yard at the smell of the steak and chicken. Susan was feeding Dash, the Doxie, little bites of steak and Sunnie came right up to Susan to get hers. But, being the little Cairn Snot she is, Sunnie would always make sure she had her escape route and would back away if Susan made any moves. Sunnie would not go into the xpen. So, Susan quit feeding Sunnie and walked away. Well, Little Miss Sunnie was quite put out by this and just stared daggers at Susan. But, Susan is a Cairn also and stood her ground.

We were plotting our next strategy of enticement and Susan thought if she could possibly get Sunnie to come up on the porch that maybe she would follow Dash into the house or she could get her a little closer. It worked! Susan was on the porch feeding Dash and a couple of other neighbor dogs bites of steak and chicken on the porch and finally Sunnie couldn't stand it any longer and came up on the porch herself to get some of the goodies. With her mixed in with the other dogs and the house as a barrier on one side, it helped to take away her quick escape route. Susan saw her opportunity, knowing she only had one chance, and grabbed Sunnie's harness and hung on for dear life!!

Our prayers have been answered and our Sunnie girl is safe and home once again. Today is being proclaimed SUNNIE DAY within CP!!! Even if it is rainy, cloudy, cool, where you are, our forecast is SUNNIE!!!

Wow that is some story. What a wonderful ending for all the hard work put into finding and capturing that wild child. She looks none to worse for the wear but I bet she needed a bath!!! All our best to our Cairn buddies...

Any dog found after 52 days loose is incredible and she did not appear to have been taken in by anyone. She survived by her terrier wits to be in such seemingly good shape too is just great. It is a happy story! Darlene and Jolly, FL
