Toby update
Well he seemed to feel better...until today. He's refusing his rice and kibble. So I tried more rice and less kibble and still no go. Right now and I know it's probably not the best for him...but I'm trying a saltine cracker. Now he's eating that. We'll keep giving him his Peptol Bismol and call the vet in the morning. Something is wrong and we need to check more in to it. Tara....the bald spot showed up before the amoxicillian. The vet did say that the amox could cause some stomach upset and maybe that's what we're seeing now. Last night, Toby came up to me and kept whining. So I followed him. He went into the living room and barked at me. So hubby proceeded to play with Toby.....oh my...he took off zooming back and forth several times and then play tug of war with the hubby... then back to zooming. He was like a five year old. So I just wished I could figure this out. But the bald spot is still bald. We must be missing something.....just wished I knew what. Well keep dear Toby in your thoughts. I'll keep the updates coming. And Toby will stay here for however long it takes.

Re: Toby update
Thanks for the update Carol. Don't you wish they could talk to you? I'm curious to hear what the vet has to say.

Re: Toby update
I was hoping to hear he was better. I am betting on the medicine making him sick. I know with some I give 1/4 tagamet about 30 minutes before I give the meds and it helps with the tummy. Give him a hug from us please...

Re: Toby update
Carol, you must be part terrier... Never give up!! LOL
I think Toby knows he's got it good and doesn't want to leave hehehee All kidding aside, I loved the way he was so playfull and full of P&V last night with Herb, hope this keeps up.
I know your persistance will pay of in the long run. Is it possible that the kibble is what is causing his problems? What about rice and chicken?? Just grabbing for ideas... good luck, I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.
Hugs, T&C xox

WhooHooooooo
Toby ate supper. He was excited tonight to see his supper. His vet called to see how he was doing and at that time Toby was not eating. So we're going to take Toby in and have a scraping done on his skin and maybe run a BUN to check and make sure his kidneys are working okay. And the vet said to stop his amox. Boy I was so happy to see that Toby wanted to eat. He was barking for his supper 1/2 an hour ahead of schedule. Fingers and paws crossed that he's making a turn for the better......and that this isn't just a brief good moment. Thanks everyone for your concern and prayers...it means alot.

Re: Toby update
Hope that he continues to improve. It is a good sign that he is eating again (maybe the saltine cracker did the trick).
