Favorite food: (Lucy): It is easier to list what I don't like: onions, pickles and olives. That's about it. (Niki): Anything I can chew or swallow.
Favorite toy: (Lucy): An ancient filthy rawhide strip that has been lying around for years and is black and bent, but which I carry around and guard, even though it sometimes disappears for weeks at a time. (Niki): A trumpeting elephant that disappeared just when I got so attached to it that I was growling when anyone walked into the room and refusing to go outside because I didn't want to leave it. Anybody seen it? I think mom hid it.
Special talents: (Lucy): I can get into any purse or wallet made by man. (Niki): I can "call" my sister Lucy when asked, and she always comes, something that no one else in the family can honestly say.
Most embarrassing moment: (Lucy): When my dad snatched me up with his big fishing net and dragged me out of my dog house, where I was in full attack mode with a giant possum cornered. (Niki): I suppose it was when I chewed up the library copy of 'How to Raise a Superdog' and mom had to pay for it and claimed it was really humiliating and all the librarians were laughing at her.
Biggest adventure: (Lucy): I dug out under the fence one night and got two streets away before my mom lured me out from under a bush behind a stranger's house by yelling "Treats!" as she walked up and down the street. They even had the police looking for me. (Niki): The night I caught a mouse and left it for mom and dad right outside their bedroom door. They weren't particularly appreciative and immediately set up a trap which I almost caught my nose in.
