First day in Florida exploring
Castillo de San Marcos .
It was in the 16th century that a ship from Porte Rico the Spanish dicoverd Florida.
In 1565 the Spanish found st.Augustine . In 1672 ground was broken on October 2 for Castillo de San Marcos.It has a very interesting history and we all enjoyed seeing it from the chapel to the jail store room,Guard rooms and British room. Yes the British attacked it.They even had some old uniforms from long ago.The well inside is Pwspme too but the jailsrooms are so tiny.

The Fort is pretty tall too.We sure are glad we did this early in the morning and we are so glad that Nimby Sue and Layla made it in time.

Look at us on top of Castillo de San Marcos and what a beautiful Bay it is with the Lions Bridge behind us. They just restored it. Ceasar and Murphy sitting on top of the gun this time.We all had to try it out. Don't we look cute?

after seeing everything at the Castillo de San Marcos we went To the Historic Flagler Alcazar Hotel and went to the Lightner Museum. We saw such nice things and wqe also did the gardens. Poor Layla was hot so she is cooling her feet in the fountain. Than we all had a drink and snack.

Lya is a Cairn like Numby Sue. Laya sue has grown and is so lovely.

We was so tired so we took a carriage ride but all of us did not fit so we hired 2 of them. With full tummies because we had a big lunch we could not do another step. We are going over the gorgeous Lions Bridge.

Oh Mom - what an exciting day we all had. I was so hot I had to put my feet in da nice cool fountain and it was wonderful. I is so full - I fink I ate too much. We are all heading back to the house and NimbySue and Kelsie and I are going to play dress up before we meet up with everyone. I don't want to let the cat outta the bag so will wait for others to tell their Moms what happened.

Oh, my liddle footsies is dog tired (haha!) from all dat sightseein! Nimby Sue an Layla an me is habin a lubly time tryin on different outfits an lipstickers ta match! Dat Roo Roo hab disapeared again--fink he mighta zoomed up ta hab a snuggle wif his Mom. Moshe an Levi are da perfect hosts--we is still on da lookout fer dat Suckie--we thinks we spotted her TWICE taday--slinkin aroun an followin us! What's dat Nimby Sue? You says she better not be here unless she came ta gib you your shoe??? Oh good grief, couldn her hab jus stuck it in da mail? Cans wait ta see what we is doin tamorrow. Right now I gots ta get something ta settle liddle Layla's belly--I finks her ate too much!

Thanks so much for helping Little Laya out and you are right she sure can put away the food. Hope her tummy gets to feeling a lot better .
I think it would be a good idea to relax tomorrow from all that sight seeing. I know some of you are not up to the heat and we have the perfect day planned Klesie.
Hope you and the gang will enjoy it.
We also think Sukie must be here we thought we spotted her but are not sure.
Keep a eye on Roo for us please.

Oh what a wonderful day we had!!!! We were so glad Nimby Sue made it to Florida. Murphy was getting worried that she wouldn't get to come because Sissie stole her shoe. We just loved the horse and carriage ride after dinner. It was so nice and relaxing. Moshe and Levi said we better get some sleep tonight because we have a very busy day tomorrow. Has anyone seen Roo? We thinks he has disappeared again. Caesar and Murphy
