From Your Social Directors

We are lining up lots of entertainment for you. We are waiting to hear if Petey and the Peteyettes will perform one night, also having a Karaoke night (start practicing) plus lots of fun games up on deck:

Pin the Tail on the Dorky (it's really a poodle!)

Haggis Toss

Dunking for Hedgehogs

and . . . .ShuffleBunny for staters!!! (You're gonna love Shufflebunny!))

Oh and a new game called Bad Mittens!

Also, anyone interested in either a costume party / contest, and / or a talent show?????????????

We;ve got lots more ideas, but we gotta get 'em all down on paper before we forget them.

FGM: Mom wants to know if you would like her to come and help you in the galley?

More later!

Re: From Your Social Directors Reply to this Message

Tell your Mom, absolutely. I need help in that galley. Tell her to bring her blender, you can never have too many. Emma the border collie will be helping us also.
I know she will want to keep an eye on you boys. I wonder where Katie Jo is? Rags can't seem to find her Rudy. I hope they are both okay.
Maybe Sheils will think of some more contests for on board.

Re: From Your Social Directors Reply to this Message

OK, we'll tell you about these two--

BAD MITTEN: Up on deck, a basket filled with one hundred pairs of mittens. There are two teams. At the starting sound, the first pair of terriers scamper to the basket, match up a pair of mittens, bring them back to the starting point and SHRED THEM TO PIECES!!! Then they tag the next pair of terriers, who run to basket, match up their pair and return to starting point and SHRED their mittens. The first team of terriers that succeeds in matching and shredding wins!!!!

SHUFFLE BUNNY:
There is a long, narrow, highly polished area up on deck. Terriers, armed with little push brooms, line up and push their bunnies down toward the other end. Bunny that goes the farthest without smacking into the wall at the other end wins!!! No eating the bunnies!
This one is harder than it sounds (especially when the bunnies wake up and realize what's happening) but guaranteed fun for all! (Except maybe the bunnies.)
There are also variations on this game we can explain later.

That's all for now! Stay tuned for more games!

Are there any more Games ,Like Reply to this Message

Deck skittens, I played this once , You tie ten kittens to their scratching posts, then you roll a hedgehog as hard as you can at them, the first terrier team to to knock over all the Kittens, with ten goes, then goes on to the next round, Rat Raquets, I'll tell you about that later.Rio and Sparky will like this one!

Rat Racquets! Reply to this Message

This is a game that was played in the principality of Hamlin originally, but has since been exported all over the world particularly Australia, Its fast furious and exciting.
Rat Racquets!
The object of the game is hurl the rats as far as you can, but not overboard, that disqualifies!
This doesn’t have to be a team game but it is played with triple players. Either two westies and a cairn or two cairns and a westie
First you have to get three rats, blindfold them, and tie all their tails together, a piece of rawhide is best for this!
(That’s so they don’t escape easy, cos they will all try to run in different directions.)
The first terrier of the pair , then attaches a line (or a lead) to the rats tail.
There is a file on this to show how!
HE stands in a high place Like a lifeboat, and dangles the rats like a conker, then the next terrier
has to run as fast as he can with a racquet, and hit the rats as hard as he can, the louder they squeal the more points he gets, in the direction of the third terrier who has a racquet like a lacrosse bat and has to catch, and then throw the rats into a barrel placed midway down the deck. This done over a timed period the greater number of rats hurled in the least amount of minutes is deemed the winner, points added for the longest throw, loudest squeals, and the size and weight of rats. Frozen or stiff rats are not allowed. They must be able to squeal. If they can be hurled without blindfolds there is a 25% bonus added to the final score.
All eligible contestants must put their name down for their turn,
There is a Junior class for Puppys, where three blind mice can be used hence less weight.
Maisie , Have fun Gang, Rio and Sparky because of their vast experience if desire can be Judges.!

OK: Pin the Tail on the Dorky

Equipment needed: one large, standard poodle, lots of velcro "tails" with poufy things on the end.

Blindfolded terriers (holding on to the velcro tail) are spun around and around and then directed towards the dorky-looking poodle. They attempt to attach the tail in the right place on the dorky poodle. (Actually they don't try really hard --- they don't care WHERE the "tail" ends up!)

Caution: avoid getting too close to dorky poodle or you might just get stuck in all that silly fluff!!!

Caution: any Terriers who have had too much haggis or Guinness are kindly asked to refrain from this game. All that spinning could make you really barfie!!!

Dunking for hedgehogs:
1,000 hedgehogs are tossed into Lido Deck pool. One the count of three, all terriers jump into pool and retrienve as many hedgehogs as possible. Watch out, they are prickly little critters!!!

He/she with the most "hogs" wins!!!!

HAGGIS TOSS:
Pretty self-explanatory, don't you think???!!!!

More later ----
Your Social Directors,
Reggie and Rufus
