End of the Second Day
It has been a long days journey into night. Finally, everybody is bedded down and there is some heavy duty snoring going on here. If any squirrels come back tonight they will be scared away with the snoring. After our swim at Eddie and Stuart's pool we came back and feasted on the squirrel stew. There is not a lot of meat on a squirrel, mostly tail, so it is a good thing they caught a lot of them. You Moms will be thrilled with the furry hats you will be receiving. The kids did all the sewing themselves. They had great fun singing around the campfire tonight and when they ran out of songs, they decided to play spin the knuckle bone. Guess who's idea that was? Can't guess? It was Bee Gee's! Aren't you surprised? Well they all had a great time and lots of tails were wagging, I found out later that they all just wanted the knuckle bone not the mushy stuff. So, I got out all the nice marrow bones, and everybody had a good chew. Rainey was disappointed because she really did want that knuckle bone. Rose told her to enjoy the marrow bone, that her Mommy would give her a knuckle when she got home. Roo says his Mom is always promising to give him a knuckle sandwich, but he is not sure what that means, or tastes like. MacGuyver feels much better today and Emma is glad that he is wagging his tail for her. Ellie just loves that blue mohawk on Toby and we found out that it didn't fade one bit in the chlorinated water. Actually, blue is a nice color on Toby. Betty, you love polka dots, right? Because you still have one daughter that is a litle colorful, shall we say? Reg and Roo moved their tent to the front of the house because they are convinced that Cheryl will fed-ex them all the stuff on their list and they think the trucks make deliveries in the middle of the night. Good night everybody, see you in the morning.
