Kaycee's Heart Surgery-Your support
I want to send you all a big hug and thank you for all of your wonderful support and love you have shown for Kaycee and me. I had no idea until I started to read this message board how many of you showed your concern and love for Kaycee. We got back late yesterday afternoon from Colorado. Her surgery went very well and she is doing great. I've got to remind her not to be so active as she wants to join in with her brother and sister and run around the house. She is an amazing little creature. Her doctor up at Colorado State University,
Dr.Bright was very pleased when I went to pick her up yesterday morning to go home. She said that Kaycee's abdomen was no longer distended with fluid, which was a sign prior to her surgery that she was already in congestive heart failure. All the fluid was gone and she is very optimistic that the surgery was a success. We will know better in 6 months when she has another ultrasound because it will give Kaycee enough time for the healing and her heart to go back to it's normal size. So I keep my fingers crossed.
By the way, Colorado State University Vet Teaching Hospital is an excellent place to go for your dog or cat's medical needs. They are one of the best in the country so I highly recommend them. And if you do go there to Fort Collins, Colorado then the Sleep Inn hotel is very pet friendly and Tina who works the front desk is a major dog lover and she was so kind to Kaycee and me when we stayed there.
Again, I want to let all of you know how much your kind words and support meant to me and Kaycee and we are grateful.

I'm so happy to hear KayCee is doing so well. Will you give us an update after her six month checkup, we'll all be looking forward to more good news.
