Maybe a new adventure --
Since my Mom is feeling so low, I'm thinking of firing up the Lemans and taking her to see Auntie Barb and Rags. First I gotta get it a front wheel alignment, then "borrow" Dad's keys, stock up on some vital supplies (gotta keep Mom "sedated" so she won't catch on to the surprise).
Ragsy, be on the lookout. I think we're gonna blow this hundred cow town and whoop it up on the road for a while.

I am ready for an adventure. You won't believe this, but FGF just bought a new car today. A great big black shiny cadillac. I think maybe he is a ganster! FGM bought him a black shirt that says the DOGFATHER on the front, you know, a takeoff on the real thing. I am quite sure he will let us borrow his new set of wheels as soon as you get here. I remember how you drive, the LeMans will need a rest when you get here.
I am going to run outside and plant some cucumbers for you and then think of what we can do in Chicago for the 4th of July weekend. We can make our own fireworks, don't you think?
Make sure you pack your Mom's undies from Vicotia's Secret, and don't wear them on your head like last time. We don't want to get into any trouble now Roo, do we?
Who else can come? Rudy, can you and the R Gang grab your Mom's caddy and head for Chicago? You can even bring her along, if you want!
I am getting excited now, talk to you tomorrow.

The last time Rocky & BeeGee borrowed R moms Caddy they wrecked it. so we R not allowed to EVER borrow it again.
Sorry but we cant go to Chicago for your road trip. companys coming and mom cant be online much.
but you have fun with Roo. I know you R just friends and wont be 'monkeying aRound!'
R Mom says enjoy that new black caddie. she wants a new one too. Dad says in her dreams!

Too bad about the company, I was really hoping you could come on our new adventure. I have to keep Roo under my paw, or else he gets into trouble.
The FGF works parttime at the local Cadillac dealership, I'll tell him to pick out a cute one for your Mom and send it on the UPS truck. Wouldn't she be surprised! FGM says too many buttons on those darn cars, one day she is going to push the wrong one and her heated seat is going to fly right through the moon roof. Then she will have to read the directions to figure out the ON STAR to call for help.
Okay, Rudy, be with us in spirit this weekend, and I will keep you posted. If you get tired of your company, FGM will send the magic wand and save you!

OK, Ragsy Muffin,
I am packing the Lemans. Dad got up early and i think he's suspicious but I think I can handle him...just have to be careful.
I am stopping in Utica on the way. There is this guy, Mike, who makes this really special lemonade and I am gonna pick me up some for the ride and some to share when i get there.
OK now, Mom is still sleeping so I have to figure a way to get her down to the barn. I am thinking out the bedroom window by ropes would be the way to go. She's a heavy sleeper and the grass is pretty soft once she lands. So no problem there.
I have to remember to pack her unders...I mean undies so we don't get arrested for indecent exposure.
I am excited about Chicago -- just wait til we roll up next to the lake -- the Muscle Car and the Mobster --- whoo-whheeeeee, so cool!
They have fireworks on that Lake? 'Cause I'm not afraid of them. I'd like to go to that -- Sunday night, you think???
Oh, and what can i bring for FGM and FGF? Something special. I'm thinking a new fedora for FGF to go with the car (WHEN he gets it back -- ha ha!) and for your Mom I know that black lace and chocolates are just her style so I'll probably stop somewhere on the way to pick up some goodies for her.
Unfortunately, I will have to put Mom in the trunk while I shop but no worry cause the trunk is huge and she'll be right next to the cooler so she won't get overheated. And, remember, she's a heavy sleeper.
OK, well I'm off to tie Mom up and lower her down to the lawn. Bark at ya later.

Did you sleep late enough? I've been up since the crack of something waiting for your travel agenda! The weather is really steamy hot here, so bring your speedos.
Good plan with the Mamsy, she will never notice that she is being hoisted out the bedroom window and into a car. glad you thought that out.
Be careful with that lemonstuff, I don't want you to be a sourpuss when you get here.
Did you put all those blocks on the pedals of the Lemans so you reach them? Remember to wear a hat and sunglasses so nobody suspects anything unusual. And for goodness sake, remember to bring ALL of your credit cards, especially for gas.
Hope we hear from some other friends who are up for a cool weekend.

Well, I'm gonna stop in Buffalo and do some shopping -- I'll leave my cell phone on so you can holler to me. Gonna call the Furbs and Kelsey on the way -- they are at their Gramdpa's house and I bet he and Gert could use a break right about now -- so maybe they will come along (no, not Grampa & Gert, silly!)
Oh -- road maps -- check
Going into silent mode for a while -- Dad is watching -- but will check back later today once I'm well on my way.
(I've gotta trick Dad into going into town in his other car to pick up my flea stuff at the vet's and then I'll make my escape.)

Make sure you have your license, silly boy. And watch the speed limit, the boys in blue will be out in full force this weekend. Maybe you should take the laptop in case you need mapquest for directions.

I'm being careful. I'm just about to arrive at Kelsey and Furby's summer home. Auntie Mary's gonna come too. She's gonna help me control Mom (when Mom wakes up!). This is gonna be fun.
Keeping it at 68 mph! (And that's hard to do wirth no cruise control, believe you me!) On my way for my summer "Born to be Wild" tour!!!!

I put all the tiki torches out on the patio and I'll light them tonight. How long do you think it will take you to hit the Chi town? Lots of things going on down by the lake, we don't want to miss anything.

p.s. Roo, wait until you see FGM, she just came back from the salon where the human kid works, her hair is blonde with crimson highlights and all spikey. I know you will die laughing when you see her, maybe your Mom should get the same treatment. It will be easy to find them if we get lost. Oh, never mind, if we take the Caddy it has a navigation system, we can't get lost!

Yes Lynda, after what it cost me to put that child through beauty school, I don't plan on paying-EVER!! Of course, she uses me as a guinea pig and sometimes I don't look like an old lady school teacher. She says it is all about FUN, so who am to question that?
the other daughter does nails and pedicures , so I just tell people I have my own staff.
Why don't you ship Sparky and Rio over for the adventure? They could wear their new scarves!

Roo FINALLY let me out of the trunk. Yes, it's big but definitely not comfy.
OK, so we picked up Mary, Kelsey, and Furby and we're cotinuing west. Hopefully, Roo will let us stop for something to eat. We should hit Chi-town early to mid-morning.
His driving is much better but he's lying about his speed -- it's 86 not 68! Luckily, the troopers think a '67 Lemans with a Westie behind the wheel is not to be messed with. They just salute and wave us on by!
Trip WAS planning to go to the cruise in tonight. My, my, wonder what he'll be driving tonight?!?!?!?!
OK, Mary, you can ridge shotgun now -- Me, I'm going to curl up in the back with the Furbs and Kelsey and catch some winks. When me when we get to a food joint!!!
And remember, no talking about S-C-H-O-O-L. Oh and Barb, set me up for that hairdo! But I would like purple highlights, OK?

Okay, called the salon, you get the purple highlights, Mary is getting a bleached blonde with red and blue highlights for the holiday. After all, we are a patriotic group! She can also do a little color on the dogs, if they stay still long enough. We just have to watch Roo, the tatoo shop is right next door.
I'll be up early waiting for you all, use your cell if you get lost.
