Did ya miss us? Huh? Did ya?!!
Whoo-whee -- what a time we had! Sorry we were out of touch but, well, it took a while for Dad to get to us and BAIL US OUT OF JAIL! We were afraid to tell Mom and Aunties Barb and Mary -- after all the nice stuff they did for us.
You see, it's like this:
After we took off, we went into Chicago and were looking for some action before the fireworks. A couple of us (I won't mention any names, Furbs, I promise) took a little side trip to find some of our own fireworks, for an after-party party. And, well, you wouldn't believe how touchy those law officials are about a bunch of underage, over-excited terriers who just want to have a little fun.
So they threw us in the clinker. Bummer!
We got one phone call, you know, so we had to vote. OK who do we call??? I hate to tell you that some of us could not come to a decision -- that took a while, but I finally convinced everyone to call Dad.
Well, after he got done being mad at us -- after all, I did borrow his car without asking. And I did lower Mom out the window and kidnap her. And I did take his GPS device (like, a lot of good that did us!)
So Dad got into his car and came out to bail us out. Problem is -- Dad is one of those maddening people who have to make lists before he does anything, so that took a while, too.
And since they confiscated our cell phones, all we could do was wait.
OK, so Dad gets us out of jail and now we are headed to FGM and FGF's to --- (ooh, this is gonna hurt!) -- to apologize for being lousy little guests.
Oh, and by the way, they took away our fireworks, too.
OK, so FGM, the question is -- do you still love us? And will you let us come back? (Would it help if I told you I got some special shopping done just for YOU?!?!?!)

Oh, dear, I think my spirit is broken from being in the slammer. (And I don't we look too good in black and white stripes, either...!)

Oh, yeah --- and ---------- !
I forgot to add -- Furbs taught us how to sing "jail house rock" and we did a little "decorating" in our cell, hee hee!

You are little stinkers. Of course, we missed you, we were worried sick. We looked everywhere and no doggies to be found.
The worst part is that our new hairdos are gone. WE worried so much that our hair turned gray! Now how do you make up for that? You aged us 20 more years!
The only good thing about this mess is that it was nice for FGF and Dad to meet and spend a little bit of time talking cars, and that's the only good thing I can think of.
Now, what did you charge to Cheryl while you were shopping. This may be your only avenue for forgiveness. So, in other words, it better be good.

Dear FGM,
Please don't be angry -- we were just being us!
We went shopping after Dad got us out of the slammer. We went to Victoria's Secret and Godiva Chocolates. We got you and Mom and Auntie Mary some nice lingerie with lots of lace and a big, big, big box of chocolates EACH (so you don't have to share!!)!!!
And a gift certificate to a day spa for all of you to have your hair fixed and then they can replace all those fingernails you chewed off because of us.
I also went to Williams Sonoma and got you a new haggis pot and a big stainless steel stirring spoon.
And a car gift pack for FGM -- it's got lots of turtlewax and some soft polishing cloths and a 6-pack of FGF's favorite stuff for when he's working on the car and a new hat for driving and some driving gloves.
OK, credit card is maxed out so Dad says we gotta go home but he wants you to know that you and FGF and Auntie Mary are welcome to come here anytime. He's been working on the pond and now it is really good for swimming and he put up an umbrella to share you from the sun and we have lots of pickicky foods and drinks for you, too.
And Dad says he's sorry we caused so much of a mess but that at least he got to hang out with FGF and that was way cool!
So when are you coming HERE?!?!?!?

I must admit, you are grand shoppers! How you hairy beasts can get into Victoria's Secret is beyond me! Roo, you must do some fast talking and flash those credit cards.
I must admit, I do need a new haggis pot, and the one you bought is top of the line.
Rags is a little embarrassed about the lacy panties and 4 maribou slides. She said only Rudy will get to see those, maybe.
I guess you are all off the hook, and we will plan a pond party in NY in the very near future.
