Intruder
Late last night dad let Max and I back in to the house after our final outting for the evening. When we came in so did 2 small winged creatures, humans call moths. Max got the first one before it had crossed the kitchen floor. The other had gotten away into the living room and was avoiding max with ease.
I watched it for a bit and then ran up onto the sofa's arm and waited. Max continued to chase it around the room. As it passed where I was perched I backed up two steps and launched myself off the end of the sofa. In mid flight I caught the little intruder in my mouth. All I heard from mom and dad was a big intake of breath. I will admit my landing was a bit short of perfect, but not bad for a first attempt.
Before mom or dad could get to me I chewed and swallowed the moth. I found him a bit dry and needed a drink afterwards.

Re: Intruder
I found the moth a bit dry and I needed a drink afterwards. Maybe that one wasn't ripe yet.
June bugs sound like an interesting taste treat.

Moths...Glen's favorite dessert! He has just discovered moths and hangs out under the lanterns on the patio wall, just waiting for a victim.

Re: Intruder
I haven't gotten any moths lately. Mom is not happy that the only bugs I go after are the ones that buzz. Yesterday I was playing with one but she got out the zapper and fried it! ZAP! ZAP! No more wasp!

Re: Intruder
Oh Bailey..YUCK..LOL I chase the odd fly especially when they are trapped in doors on the patio window..My big Sister Angel taught me how to do this and I am getting quicker!
When I was tiny I used to pounce on the Moths in the garden but Mum hates creepies and tells me to leave them outside..I can't under stand why she does not want such a nice gift..HEE HEE
