A Great Sunday (Long)
This Sunday was a busy day. We were all up early. Mom and Dad were busy doing some extra cleaning around the house and yard. This means company is coming over. As it neared lunchtime mom got out a big load of hamburger, a pack of hotdogs and all the extras. We tried to convince mom that we each needed to taste the red juicy meat before it was cooked, even Gracie came over and tried her best to get some, but mom held tough to her no begging at the table rule, but that didn’t stop her from giving us the last of the ham in the kitchen. By 12:30 the grill was fired up and the smells were driving us crazy. At 1:00 all the family showed up and after some pleasant ear scratching and hugs and the feast was on. Even we furkids got a great surprise our bowls each held a hamburger (Chopped up) and a hotdog. We truly pigged out and had to take a nice nap. Mom and dad played with the grandkids in the pool and we watched from a nice shady spot under the picnic table.

Re: A Great Sunday (Long)
Pt 2
Well late in the afternoon the family left and it was nice and quiet in the house again. I was stretched out on the love seat, thinking this day couldn’t get any better, Gracie was resting in her corner by her food bowl and Max was asleep on his back. As time rolled on to 7:00pm I got my best surprise of the day. Tom and Lynda came by and with them came my sweet Maggie Mae. I was half sleep when the doorbell rang and then I saw her face at the door, I was off the couch in a shot. I almost forgot there was a glass door between us. I shouted at mom to open the door. Well as soon as she was thru the door and off the leash we were zooming around and pouncing all over each other. Dad let us out the back and away we zoomed all four of us. Gracie gave us a bit of a surprise she RAN without falling over, not as fast as Maggie, Max and myself, but she did very well and tried hard to keep up. Well we got called inside and I saw all the leashes were out. I thought great all this and walks too. I was wrong instead of walks we got in the van and went to a neat place called “Paw Park”. They had a pool and drinking water and lots of room for zooming. I put on a demonstration of my zooming speed by racing along the fence and out running any challengers from the big dog side of the park. I think I impressed my little Maggie. We all got to meet, make new friends and play there.

Re: A Great Sunday (Long)
last part
There was only one bad spot to the evening and that was when this canine Casanova paid a bit too much attention to Maggie, he and I got into a heated argument and I let him know who she was coming home with. Maggie thought I over reacted a bit, but I was forgiven. Gracie was a bit reserved and stayed near mom most of the evening, but did get out there and explored and played a bit. Max was all over having fun with everyone. We stayed until it got dark and then it was back home. We all took a short nap on the way home. Back at the house Maggie and her family stayed for another hour and then they had to go home. We all said our goodbyes and we made another date for August 18th. What a great Sunday!!!!
