OT - My A/C Problem
Finally, after one week and getting upset (my husband is too nice) I have air downstairs. But, today, I was informed that I needed another new compressor (why they could not tell me that when they did the original bid, I do not know). Needless to say I am getting more than one bid for this compressor. They are actually charging me almost 50% of my old bid which included two new compressors and an air handler. I am very disappointed with this company and I guess that I should have gotten bids from various companies, but for some reason, we do not get normal telephone books at my house so I have to rely on those other yellow pages. I probably should have checked on the internet. Sorry, just wanted to vent because my husband is way too laid back

Re: OT - My A/C Problem
You know my hubby is the old-fashioned kind, the kind who gets all the bids and makes the decisions caveman-type - you know what I mean? Well, he too takes forever to get angry and then usually it is at himself.
He is finally - after 3 years - learning to get quotes. Thou he always goes the cheapest and always pays for it. I am trying to teach him but he is an old soul in a 47 year-old's body.
Let this be a lesson but don't take 3 years to do learn, ask all the questions at once. Get EVERYTHING in writing. And if you must write your questions down. Don't let anyone treat you stupidly cuz you are a lady. Do your homework on the internet and don't trust the BBB logo. They are not much better then the sheisters out there. Also ask your neighbors for recommendations.
Love, Jeanne
