The Minkies At Their Old Park
Today we visited our old park-walking pal Edie and our park we used to go to when the Minkies were puppies. Here are some photos. This one is the boating lake. It's sad to see it in such disrepair as it was a thriving little lake with coloured boats at one time. XXX.

Another sad thing was that the miniature railway has gone. The Minkies are on the tracks here but they're mostly pulled up and gone now....it's a real shame. XXX.

This here's a wee sunken garden. When Sparky was a small puppy it got waterlooged one time and she threw herself into it thinking it was a puddle. She got a HUGE shock !! Me and Edie still laugh and laugh at the shock on her face as she resurfaced !! XXX.

Re: The Minkies At Their Old Park
What kind of large bird is that, Lynda? I noticed it in one of the pictures above as well. These parks you have over in Great Britian are very lovely. How are they funded to be kept so clean and tidy? Lots of acres of beautiful country like settings. I really enjoy the photos. Thanks Hugs, Nancy :)

Re: The Minkies At Their Old Park
The birds are crows and they are pretty big and noisy too. The parks are funded by the local councils who are funded by every household. Everyone has to pay a council tax. XXX.

Re: The Minkies At Their Old Park
I can see the resemblance!! I know what you mean. I am back in the town I grew up in for a few days with a childhood friend. We just returned from a trip to our side of town. It is so run down and sad. Nothing in this world ever stays the same and it makes me sad. I enjoyed your trip down memory lane though...

Re: The Minkies At Their Old Park
We really enjoyed your pictures of the park, and it was fun to see your Mom and friend Edie. The Minkies look like they had a nice time in the fallen leaves. My two have been a bit neglected lately, so I'll try to take them on some nice fall walks this weekend while we have Brinks and Tempest with us.

It's such a beautiful park, Lynda. Was this a planned visit with you friend Edie or did she just happen to be there? Nice to see a picture of your Mummy too. You look like your Dad (I snared a picture of him with the Minkies years ago!) on the upper half of your face and your Mom on the lower half! How much longer is your Mom staying? Kay
