Race against time
The Count: “Igor, bring the puppies. It is time we leave for the Valley of Serenity. We only have 4 days left until the bridge arrives and we will every minute to get there on time.”
Igor knew he some how had to buy sometime, but how. He ginger picked up the puppies and placed them gently in a carrier.
The Count: “Bah, that’s all your good for any more, a nursemaid to four whining pups. Get up to the stables and get the coach ready and be quick about, nursemaid.”
Igor limped out the lab and up to the stables. He thought about damaging the coach, but knew the count would just take his horse. He had to wait a while longer. The count no longer trusted Igor completely, but relaxed a bit after he examined the coach and harnesses and found all was in order. Igor helped the count into the coach and off they went down the road like the wind.
