The Room at the Inn Vote for this post Reply to this Message

Dad has always resisted B&B's. Here, our little room with its own private entrance -- just up the stairs and onto the private deck -- it changed his mind about B&B's!

Rockport Harbor, from near our Inn. The bright red building you can spot is the back of Motif #1, one of the most painted images in history.

Dad, sightseeing -- Vote for this post Reply to this Message

Here's Dad at Bearskin Neck, a "pont" in Rockport with DOZENS off shops. He didn't want to go into a million little shops, but Mom could take his picture outside of one!

I recognize the exact spot that this photo was taken! :)

Did you have a snack at the streusel place? Yum!

And did you have some great chowdah and lobstah? Double-yum!

Yup, went to Hulmut's and bought some pastries to bring home!

A Cute Www House! Vote for this post Reply to this Message

(Sorry for that double post!)

Here's a cute wee house in Rockport. So many of the houses are tiny -- and adorable. Just the right size for Mom and Dad and me. (But not in our budget!)

Oh, I am so jealous. I have been all over the world but never in that part of our country. Not that I haven't wanted to but I never got the chance. I am going to have to make that a priority, it is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing those pictures with us and showing me where I need to go. It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation.

A Sweet Suite (#1) Vote for this post Reply to this Message

This is not the room we stayed in; another guest gave us a little tour of the suite she rented.
If I were going for an extended period of time (and had some extra $$) I might choose this.

First shot is the elegant sitting room --

Re: ROCKPORT ADVENTURE Vote for this post Reply to this Message

It was! Aside from the horrendous traffic around Boston, I'm ready to go back!

I found another place outside of Rockport that Roo can go to -- I am awaiting a reply from the innkeeper as to what their policies are for dogs (extra cost, and also when dogs are allowed on the beach).

I think it would be lovely to go back sometime in September or October! (Don't tell Trip, though! I have to work on him for that!)

I would SO LOVE to see Roo's reaction at being able to run on a beach -- or just BE on one!

That sounds like great fun also. It would be fun to see Roo's reaction to the beach. I have no idea what my dogs would do either. Linda
