Huckleberry Adventure
We had fun on our hucklberry trip. It was Busters first camping. This is where we spent the night. Its pretty much in the middle of nowhere. But there were lots of berries and lots of ground squirrels and chipmunks.

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
Buster herre: Mom showed me how to pick berrrries. It took about 5 seconds, then I was racing around munching my little heart out. Fi had been naughty earlier and ran down the road and wouldn't come back. After mom went and got her, she had to be chained up. Too bad, Fi. The berries were good.

Oh, Buster, what do you know? I was busy hunting squirrels. Aren't I nicely camouflaged? Can you see me?

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
Sadly, it started to rain. Buster and I got soaked roaming through the brush. We started to shiver, so mom dried us off and set us in front of the fire. Later that night we slept in the tent in mom's sleeping bag. We were good little heaters for mom. It poured all night and we had to go home early. Odd weather for August!

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
On the way home, we stopped for a moment and all the people got out to speak with a friend. When they got back in the pickup, Buster was on the dash. What the heck are you doing, Buster? We wish it hadn't rained so we could stay longer. Maybe another time. p.s. Good thing grandpa took the keys out of the pickup. When I looked out the window, I stepped on the door-lock. That could have been a disaster!!

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
I bet I'd love the mountains... If we hooked up I bet we could get some great kills. To bad you took off down the road. Me, I never stray too far from my humans. I might miss something.

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
What a pretty place for camping and all of those blueberries and small creatures to keep an eye on--what could be better! We love your pictures of your fun time. I would say that Buster had a wonderful first camping trip and an adventure on the way home. We love to go to the mountains, also.
I've learned all about the key thing a few years ago. They always go out of the car with me.

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
I always look forward to seeing your pictures Fiona and Buster. You have the most beautiful scenery and such fun times on your camping adventures and with your ponies and wagons.
Looks like you both had a wonderful time hunting critters and eating huckleberries. Me, Lily Belle I would LOVE to do that. Mom and dad take me to the Smoky mtns sometimes and I have a ball!! All those new and different smells and critters we don't have at home. Fun.

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
Such gorgeous pictures - - have never been to the mountains. So, they just eat those berries, right? Gorgeous. Looks like the weather was cool....such a shame it had to rain. Buster looks like he took right to it.
Thanks for posting them for us.
(My granddog DID lock my DIL out when she ran up to the door to get my grandson....they are tricky little ones, aren't they?)

Re: Huckleberry Adventure
It looks like you two had a fun time. The mountains look beautiful. You're lucky to experience something like Kaya, the American Girl. I will save your picture of the mountains to print and use for her. I have her Huckeberries on display right now!
