Stormy Call
As most of you know Spring time here in Oklahoma can be a time of great storms and winds. Recently a storm came through that was like know other we have ever experienced. The sky darkened and lighting flashed, but no wind, the air was so still. Suddenly the dark sky lit up, our eyes could not believe what we saw. Now the wind began to blow, we heard a whisper floating along, "follow me, follow me." All for of us slipped out our doggie door and into the stormy night.

Re: Stormy Call
We followed the call out of the city an into the country side. We were just begining to think we should turn around when a flash lit up something white up ahead off in a ditch. We raced ahead fearing we may be too late. Laying there was one of our own kind a young westie panting no strength left from fighting the storm that had passed through. Before passing out he told us his name was Finnegan. We carried him carfully back to our home. There mom and dad placed him gently on the sofa and let him rest. We all took turns watching over him.

Re: Stormy Call
After a while he awoke and told us how he had been carried far away by the storm and it had taken all his strenth to escape the grip of the storm. Finnegan had no idea where he lived and the wind had blown so hard that it blown away most of his fur away. We tried to get him to talk more about his home, but as he did he got very sad and explained that it wasn't a great home. We let him know he could stay with us until we found him a great forever home.
