REUNION! Starting new thread --
As Fran and some others may have mentioned, it is easier for some to read all the posts if they are broken down into smaller sections, so here we are starting a new thread.
Roo here: Mom and Dad and i went to Grammie's and Grampa's for Thanksgiving and hu-bro Chris joined us there. I was on very good behavior (especially compared to last year!) but today am totally exhausted -- it's hard work being such a good boy all day long!
Here's me and Mom taking a little coffee break at Grammie's.

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
First of all, I have been a member since Jan 2005. I had Miss Molly and she was very young then. Just when I was beginning to know some members I suddenly lost my husband of 50 years. It was quite a shock but with the kindness of people that I had known for only 2 months I came through a very difficult time. Bridget was born that week and came to me in April. I had to have that fresh new life at that time and Miss Molly needed something to help her in that time of her grief, she was a Daddy's girl. Since then I married another wonderful man and the girls love him also. I also discovered age is only a number.
Yesterday was a wonderful Thanksgiving and we had many blessings. My older daughter went to Jackson, TN to bring her younger sister (Kristin) home for the day. I can no longer take care of her and now my other daughter has found she cannot either. Kristin is in a wheelchair and cannot do anything for herself, she needs total care. It has been an empty spot during the holidays without her but it was filled yesterday. My older daughter's husband was out of the hospital on Wednesday and was able to be here, also his 97 year old mother. He had finished chemothearpy for leukemia, he has spent most of this year in one hospital or another. He is due now to go to Seattle, WA for another stem cell transplant. We pray that it works this time, please keep him in your prayers. Also her younger son was home from NC, (Marines) his last home leave before deploying to Afganistan in December, he spent one tour in Iraq. This grandson is dear to me because I raised him from the time he was a baby. There were eleven of us and we were able to gather at one table and enjoy the meal together. The only sad note is we were unable to have my one 5 yr old great grandson with us, that is the sad side of a split family. I was able to do all the cooking and it was ready at 1 pm, amazing. Darling hubby did the dishes and let me visit with my family. His family was invitied but would not drive the 3 1/2 hours, (their loss). We had storms all day but the bottom line was a fantastic day, hope yours was the same.

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
Weezie - aka - Louise, and I joined in 2003 pretty much after Uncle Daddy said, "I have looked into the soul of that dog and she belongs with us/you." We wrote, As The Surf Pounds" to tell her story.
Weezie is my First Dog - she was filthy, poo-poo butt, skin and ear problems. First day home I put on my HazzMat suit, rubber gloves, boots, sunglasses and took this poor dog outside to run the hose on her butt. Then took her to the Doggie Beauty Salon to find out she was in fact a WESTIE.
Two of my most treasured events here were the Girlies Productions - Kept telling Betty that when I got sick I wanted a book of GP's to make me smile. Next were FGM - Barb's "Adventures", truly life changing events.
Happy to see you all* I guess now I have to say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidaze .. . . .

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
Thank you so much Kat, for remembering our Girlie Productions..How we loved making those, the Girlies were naturals. I had thought about rerunning one of them for the reunion, but haven't had time to go through the files where I keep them. Also the Good Sunday Morning post we did every Sunday morning during those dark days when my husband was sick and dying..They were a bright spot in my week, and I so looked forward to the wonderful responses we got..One of my best memories is when my husband died, I came back to find photo after photo of beautiful flowers that our friends here at the TC had posted for us..I still get all teary when I think of that. Wonderful people, and wonderful memories we have of our time here, this club has certainly enriched our lives, We're proud to have been a part of it. xxxxBetty and the Girlies...

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
That is my most favorite picture, too. I have it...but don't think I can post it, with my computer problems. I know that Annie has it...maybe she will post it. If I remember correctly....Ellie was going to go and see her BFF, Kipper, as Kipper was sick. She thought she might be able to cheer Kipper up by taking her fishing. My second most favorite picture is Roo, after he got into his mom's lipstick.
I have so many fond memories of the TC. I have met some wonderful lifelong friends here. The ones that left made me sad. but unfortunately, some just can't forgive. As I get older...I realize how important it is to be able to do that.
Jolly and I joined shortly after I got her...can't remember how I found the TC, but am so glad I did. These little white dogs are truly remarkable and we are all blessed to have them in our lives. I can't imagine my life without my sweet girls. I still think of my Hattie every day, but realize that if she were still here, I wouldn't have my sweet Annabel. She makes me laugh every day. Still...I only wish I could have made Hattie well...and at least given her more than 3 years of a great life.
We love you all...and thank you for this wonderful club.
Love and hugs, Jeanie, Jolly & Annabel

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
Hello old friends, Marianne here, you may remember our beloved black 'n' silver rescued cairn Max, or Maxel the good, he was the love of our lives and we had him with us for nearly 11 years. Sadly, he passed away over a month ago, he was 17. He only knew love with us and we were thrilled with each other. He definitely slowed down the last two years, and while we knew he would leave us one day, you're never really ready for that finality. We joined the TC in 2003 after lurking for a long time. Recently, my screensaver slideshow picked up a picture of Max in the bunny suit - remember that?? All of the poor TC members forced to pose in those bunny suits, Max was not pleased in the picture, and I laughed remembering that. I know many of you loved our wee 16 pound cairn boy, he was so sweet and always in our hearts.
And do you know, someone new has come into our lives, just a week ago. Monty, a 7 1/2 year old retired cairn show dog is learning he doesn't have to pose anymore, and will be spoiled rotten and get lots of attention and love as an only dog. He's very different from Max and he makes us laugh, he's a bit of a clown. We're looking forward to sharing our lives with him. Wishing all of you a happy and healthy holiday and new year! Here's a picture of Monty, a black brindle cairn boy. xo Marianne and Monty

We remember Max, that handsome Cairn boy. He was also one of our favorites. Cairns are such joy. We are partial to grey and black cairns. Monty is adorable. He has found a great home. Westie hugs & Cairn kisses, Daisy Doodle & Lucy

Re: REUNION! Starting new thread --
It's been lovely to read the posts from old friends. I joined the TC with Hamish in late 2001 I think. He was the driver at Laddie and Maddie's wedding, it was great fun! Nowadays I don't use the home computer a lot because I spend too many hours in front of one at work and because until recently the newest member of our household was such a pest. My darling boy Hamish died in early July, leaving Maddie and me lost and lonely. A few weeks later I collected Murray from a shelter, so now there are 3 of us in our little household again. Maddie is a wheaten Cairn like Hamish. She's almost 7. Murray has more diverse DNA. He is 7 months old now and looks a lot like a mini miniature schnauzer, but I saw his mother at the shelter and she was a little white fluffy dog.
There are many wonderful people who I met through the TC, Sheils with her Laddie and Misty, Fran with the R Gang, Betty with the Oregon Girlies, the wonderful Dollface and ED (who believed that Hamish was his long lost brother on account of his very tall ears), Lynda and the Minkies, dear Barb the FGM and her Rags, Sue and Booker, Cheryl and Reggie and Roo, Angie, Georgia, Kay ... the list goes on.
Perhaps the most lasting impact has been from Barb's posts throughout her illness and treatments, which formed a wonderful, moving, heart rending and ultimately joyful journal. Since then I have walked alongside too many family and friends who have travelled the long march through serious illness and in a way it was Barb who taught me how to do this. Thank you Barb.
Bless you all. Maureen

Happy terrier reunion y'all!!
We joined the club officially in 2002 -- although I moved in with dollface in Sept 2000 and she had been on the club site many times. We've had marvelous good times here!! Remember girls -- I was a stripper at the Maddie's bachelorette party? I wore a bandana and a smile! I think I added a lampshade a some point that night, but the details are a little fuzzy now. I had a girlfriend in those days -- Giggles. Her mom called her Mollie. Since then, I've invited the Oregon Girlie on several skinny dippin' trips at the river. We all helped FGM kick that nasty bastard cancer to the curb -- twice. I discovered a long lost brother from another mother downunder -- my main man Hamish. We welcomed new members and new pups and lost some wonderful friends -- two leggers and four leggers -- along the way. Despite all its ups and downs, comings and goings, fits and starts, fights and forgiveness -- we wouldn't trade this club for the world! Happy Reunion to us all!!
